multiple choice practice tests?

gearing up for my bcit application exam... i haven't been to any kind of school in like 15+ years so i feel like i could use a little practice. i know it won't be that hard but i just don't want to show up & get flustered because it's been so long since i've had to do anything like that.

i think it's mostly based on current events, english comprehension and general knowledge. anybody know of any sites where one could take a test like this for practice? i've googled but came up with nada.

You could try doing some sample SATs, should be plenty online, but not sure if thats exactly what you wanted.

broadcast & media comm. From how they described it at the info session, it sounds pretty easy... just want to make sure i nail it cause it's worth a quarter of my application score.

Are you taking the GMAT, dosnt sound like you are but their are tons of resources for that.

maybe try and find some practice SAT exams, they cover most of what your looking for, with out any more information I can't really help you.

1) Eliminate all options you know are wrong
2) A lot of the time the longer answers are the right ones
3) if all else fails, choose C

Those are just the three steps I always go for when I'm making a guess. Prolly should've prefaced that.

Actually, you'd be surprised how often you're wrong when you look for the right answer as opposed to eliminating the wrong ones. Thought process is a funny thing.

yeah i know how to take a multiple choice test thanks, not needing any help with that. i'm just looking for some tests to practice on.

i think the best advice when taking these kind of tests is to formulate an answer before you even look at the choices, so you aren't influenced by them subconsciously.

I actually took this test...

During the follow up interview they actually informed me that I had scored well over 90%...

It's pretty simple if you read the newspaper regularly for the current events part.

Some of the questions I can remember:

"Who is the current president of Mexico"
"Who are the secruity council memebers in the UN"

And a lot of "Mr.X is currently being mentioned in the news, what for?"


I'd be more worried about the essay's at the end...


Which Program are you taking there? Radio, TV, or journalism?

When I took it two years ago, there were three Essays for Radio/TV, but five for Journalism.

Also followed up by three interviews...

One of the topics was based off of a Mclean's article I read the day before, so yeah.

Basically, they score the multiple choice. The essay is to make sure you aren't talking out of your ass.
