first of all jagr is 32. 14th year in the league with 1289pts. gretzky played 20 years. with 2857. THAT means jagr is 1568pts BEHIND GRETZ. which means jagr needs to average over 100pts FOR THE NEXT 15 YEARS to even come close to the GREAT ONE. i don't think jagr will play until he's 47. btw: even with the mighty jagr the rangers are around .500 with him. |

karl, ur right, yes he is 32, and yet, i forgot that when i said he was on pace for 2nd, he was with washington, a much better team than NY. My appologies. I still say a .500 team sucks. if jagr was here, no worries
with the likes of naslund and bert, i think he will do just fine :) |

did you know we have nazzy and bertuzzi for the price of jagr? why would we want an underachieving overpaid baby on this team? jagr=bust. look in ny. look in washington.
btw: jagr was NEVER on pace to catch gretzky. you need to start off with 50 goal seasons, 100pt+ seasons. oh yea and you need to sprinkle in 4 200pt seasons. lemieux had a chance once upon a time. hell it's not like gretzky played 20 full seasons. |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by Antenna_Boy the canucks are good, but not that good. Standing wise sure, but they are not an elite team yet Maybe were up there cuz we are an elite team? or pretty fucking close to it. |

Vancouver can win in Calgary but are horrible at home. Historically Vancover has played poorly against Calgary. However back to the goalie situation again. Calgary's goalie is untested during the playoffs. The Wild play the neutral zone trap game which is boring as fuck. Minnesota know how to protect a lead and it shows from last year. However, Vancouver this year has played a lot more defensive game and Minnesota will be hard pressed to get a goal. For the 'Canucks to advance this year the following must happen: -continue there defensive style game -hit with the bodies asap and set the tone like the do against Colorodo, Detroit and St. Louis. Teams like Calgary, San Jose & the Wild can't handle this aggresive style. -more scoring would be great, but realistickly goals aren't supposed to happen a lot in the playoffs The fans need to lay off cloutier because its not all dan's fault for the canucks woes. With the Sedin's playing so well lately maybe they don't really need another 2nd liner. IMO they might need a winger for that line. We'll see what Burke has. Also, the Canucks must resign Brian Burke because w/o him Vancouver would be nothing. `t1m |
