Apparently the ship's Captain intended to point the boat where it ended up.
Using buffer of a few small vessels + wharf > crashing into the reinforced terminal dock and ending up with injuries. A good judgement call if you ask me.

No matter how this happened there is only one person to blame, Premier Gordon Campbell!!! His government just outfitted this vessel for $35 million , of tax payer money. So Gordo's now mismanaged our ferries, 35 mill and you don't even go into the engine to fix potential problems. The ferry fleet is sooo old, that I can safely predict this will happen again.
Next time they ain't going to be that lucky!!!
