Boiler Room - 10/10

For a show to have Ben Affleck AND Vin Diesel in it, and still be good, that takes effort. I think that's probably the only movie I've ever seen Vin Diesel act in, he wasn't just the random tough guy.

Dragon Tiger Gate - 7/10

So cheesy, good direction, lack of development, poor script and bad acting - but really, it's action packed, the fight scenes are great and it's so pretty to look at that you almost forget all the bad points of the movie. Based on a long time running comic in HK. The style is VERY comic book, video game.

BABEL - 5/10

Overrated, overhyped, choppy and misguided. Disappointing and oh so predictable. I just couldn't get into it, it was just way too long. It's like global 'Crash' or something. Except it's not as much of a try hard as 'Crash'.

SUICIDE MANUAL - 2.5/10

I hate when you grab a movie thinking it's something else. I was looking for 'Suicide Club' and thought something may have been lost in translation in the title - much to my dismay, I ended up grabbing the wrong movie.

I thought this movie could have been executed a lot better, the idea was interesting, but I think because I went in expecting to see an entirely different movie, I was disappointed. I tried to like it, but I just couldn't - granted, there are some pretty messed up scenes but it's not worth it.

I understand that it was shot on video (v-cinema style) - a lot of interesting movies have been done in this style, but 'Suicide Manual' just looked way too cheap with the piss poor acting and uncreative camera angles. I don't know if it was the cast or what, but they really annoyed me as they brought nothing to the table. This movie lacked style. I can't believe I wasted my time staying up to watch this garbage.
