Pretty much the music, and the high pitched ringing in my ears after the set. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - What does your DJ name signify? AKA MC SWEAT, JR HIGH, NROCZ It began as Mr Noodles because I was a skinny ass and at the time everybody was ripping off comercial names and regurgitating them into party names, t-shirts and shit. This was before I ever touched a turntable. Once I picked up the trade my nickname changed to DJ Noodlez for a few years and it worked fine until breakbeat music forked, I opted for the more aggressive new school sound and after a time I thought that Noodlez looked way too pussy for the music i was purveying so I toyed with some concepts and finally went with my current moniker : N.U.D.L.Z. it stands out, makes people scratch their heads and it looks to me anyways, more industrial and mechanical. I've tried to find words that will make sense to the abbreviation but nothing really works.. with the Z and all so if anyone asks what it stands for I say it stands for Noodlez, ha ha. The NROCZ Tshirts were a play on words, if you spell NUDLZ vertically then turn it 90 degrees to the left, you;ll see what I mean. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Who are your influences /or shoutouts? Nu Skool Breaks dot com, Nu breaks dot com, shouts out to all my fellow radio dj's! Cereal Killerz, Kraddy, Dj Quest, BarrCode, Unique3, 30hz, Elite Force, Meat Katie, Ctrl Z, Dual Calibre, Autobots, Roxziller, and on and on.... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Feel free to add any additonal information about yourself I listen to heavy metal every day for at least an hour, usually more. I am a trained studio engineer My favorite snack is pickles and cheddar cheese I'm a dad I can school anybody on a skimboard no problem I've been there, done that, went back and did it again Last edited by nrocz; Jul 24, 07 at 08:04 AM. SUIT GREY! that shit is a hard to get your hands on timeless classic! I don't even have a copy of it anymore. That cd has been stolen from more people than I can remember - 'keep it secret - keep it safe'
every now and then I'll get an email from somebody who found that cd at a garage sale or in a shoebox somewhere asking if I still hang out with mc sweat. |
