I go once or twice a week (if I can find the time) and only go for about 5/6 minutes in the standup or 10/12 in the liedown.

I'm quite white and don't want to be obviously tanned cause I don't look that good.

I mostly go for the extra vitamin D and the feeling of taking a mini vacation away from the world for a few minutes as I can't afford a ticket to a hot country.

Not really. Tanning in moderation is good for you - vitamin D my friend! Burning = bad. Excessive tanning = bad.

But then, excessive drinking is awful, but everyone seems to think it's cool to get so wasted you can barely remember what happened the next day. I'm sure the liver appreciates it, too!

Everyone does things that are "bad" for them, and as far as I'm concerned, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs (and never have), I barely ever drink (like, I could count the number of times per year on one hand), I eat healthy, etc. so if tanning is the worst thing I do, I guess I'm doing pretty darn good!

once the little Mo at the desk left me in a tanning bed for like 5 mins longer, and when i came out my face was bright red.......and i had to hide outside in the cold until i cooled down....that was really embarrising cause i was tanning on my break....

my tanning salon has timers and they set it to the time you want and it shuts off automatically.

she probably added 5 minutes more to your session before you got in the bed.

I guess I will have to make friends with someone who gets it at cost before I buy it, lolz

Dalyn, the caliber of employees at tanning salons is usually pretty weak. I always check my time before I get in :P It's a good habit to get in!
