Galaxie or other tanning gurus
I am going to start indoor tanning again and I need some advice.
My goal is to have a nice, even tan but not be too dark that I look ridiculous. I just bought Worship Me which have quadruple bronzer and is made by Designer Skin - should I pick up another lotion for the face? How many times a week should I be going to achieve a nice base tan (is that even the right term?) and how many times a week to maintain it? Thanks!!! : o ) |

From my experince with the skin I have, I would go 1-2 times a week @ 11-14 min, if you just want a light even tan. If you want to go really dark and look like you just came back from Mexico or the girls that work in the salon than 2-3 times a week at 15-18 min. It really depends and you kind of have to play around with what works best for you, the girls at the salon are usually pretty good (Fabutan).
But what I highly suggest is start off easy at 7-9min (if tanless) and slowly build your self up a min each week or so. Be patient and easy with your self, its tottaly worth it and you get a much better base tan. Btw this is based on fabutan salons, others will vary. I have that tanner and I love it!
once I got that lotion, I went from going twice a week at 20 mins to once a week at 15 and im still hell of dark. I use it on my face and it looks fine. just make sure you apply it evenly or youll get streaks. Hope this kinda helped. <3 Last edited by Pussy*Kat; Dec 28, 07 at 06:52 PM. |

Worship Me is good! I also really like Revival and the new designer skin lotions are aweeeeesome. I asked for Black for Christmas from Tim. We'll find out tomorrow if I get it! Eek!
Anyhoo...go three times per week. Once or twice is pointless because you'll fade too much in between sessions. For the first 3 weeks try to go every second day to build up your tan. Make sure you do it gradually (increase 2 minues every 2 sessions) because you don't want to burn. If you do burn give yourself a few days for it to heal - burning slows down the tanning process and the worst thing you can do is try to tan again while you're still burnt! I use Saving Face on my face and mix in a bit of regular lotion (bronzers are OK, no tingle or cooling though!!) and I REALLY recommend it. Think about it - you wouldn't use your regular body lotion on your face so why use tanning lotion specifically for the body on your face? Where are you living these days? What salon are you going to? Uvalux and Bronzing Sun bulbs are the best, FYI!! Bronzing Sun are my ultimate favourite, they give you a reaaaaally nice brown tan - no oranginess!! |
