I know exactly what you mean, I've seen it happen so many times and I could so understand why it happens. But I person like mme has loved it since I first started. I havent been popin like I use to and when I go to parties I look forward to learnin some new shit (dancin styles). I still feel the vibe and love at parties all the time. I love watchin good dancers, they make me excited. Especially watching real fine chicks dance......now thats a turn-on........mmmmmmmmm.........I want one right now.

exactly.
it gets to a point where going to parties is no longer new and exciting, it's still fun don't get me wrong, but after a while... it's just more of the same and you think "maybe i should go explore some other aspects of life". (i don't mean that in a bad way at all)
it's all about exploring. fun times.

Peter, I've been parting just the same as you. Everyone has there own reason for going partying. Drugs, friends or just something fun to do. Mine was a bit of everything. I've had fun and a lot of memories. But like Dale Said, moderation is the best. If your leaving the scene cuz of the drugs, then you probaly got into the scene for the wrong reason. If you went into the scene and found a love for a new type of music, then you will never really leave the scene. Also a the same time, if you get too involved it'll fuck with you. Too much drama and drug fiends tend to piss me off. Heh.

You may feel like your slowing down, but maybe your just evolving. Either way, raving I bet has taught you something. Probaly built your confidence. ;-) If someone has been in the scene for this long, I doubt they will regret it. It's very rare that you find someone that regrets goin 2 rave. Unless they OD, which is usually there own damn fuckin fault.

*Agrees with DJ4mula
I think everyone gets sucked into the "RAVES ARE BAD" bs once in awhile, you start to feel guilty on how you are "fooling/blinding" yourself from what's real when you do drugs.
There's nothing wrong in having fun and enjoying the music and DANCING!!, it's when you abuse it and go "JUST TO GET HIGH" that's bad.

I think going once in awhile may be more satisfying than if you went every week. I mean yea THERE ARE OTHER THINGS TO DO!!

Thanx Tim for your input...Oh no no I'm NOT leaving the scene...Like I said I don't think I can ever completely stop...I just know I've slowed down and not into it as much as last yr

As for as my reason's for getting into the "scene" I've stated in before on this thread...People...Music...Drugs...Mainly it was to meet new people and make new friends cause I was so diff before I got into partying...I totally have no regrets what so ever...It's made me who I am today and I'm such a better/happier person because of it... :kimmie:

time to move on in life buddy
you dont wanna be a candy kid raver for too long. youLL go retarded.
in the end, raves are just fun, it shouldnt be something you live for.

if you love the music, hit up the clubs. youLL hear much better music and definetly much more qualified djs rinsing out tunes cleanly in a more down to earth enviornment rather than a sketchy meth head run rave scene. not saying all ravers are amphetamine freaks.. but honestly, most of em are (and look whos talking right? =) )
