Girl advice??

To make a long story short I've been seeing this girl for about a month and a half now. Everything has been great, we get along extremely well, tons of chemistry between the two of us. Occasionally when we'd hang out she'd throw in hints of wanting a relationship so yesterday I finally asked her if she wants a relationship out of this. I let her know that I think things are going really good and I'd like a relationship. After this past month I thought I was sure what her answer would be....Wrong....

She says she really likes me but she isn't sure what she wants. She says she scared of getting hurt and was bringing up past experiences as reasons of why shes scared of getting into a relationship right now. In the end she tells me she needs a couple of days to think about it LOL.....

I'm 25 and she's 23. Shouldn't she sort of know what she wants by now. Or why does she need a couple days to think about things, wasn't a month a half enough time to figure it out, do you really need a couple of days.

you said youve only been dating a month and a half...in her eyes that may not be a long time....i've been in the same position as her and sometiems you are scared of getting hurt or getting too serious too fast.....I would say just take things as they come, if you guys are having fun with what your doign now is there any reason to change it? just take things as they come....let the natural progression take its course rather than having to put a title on it..sometimes that scares people or puts a strain on the realtionship.....just let her know that you like her and want to be with her and leave it at that...if she likes you she will let you know when shes ready to take the next step, iti could be a week or it could be a few months but either way I think its best to just be casual about the situation

I totally agree with you. Only reason I asked her is because she was giving so many hints about it so I thought that what she wanted. I would have been okay either way, relationship or take it slow. But now that I've asked, and I've gotten this reply back, I kind of feel rejected in a way........I feel like I should have just left it alone because if she comes back and says, Oh I don't want a relationship right now, I don't think it will be the same as before.....

I wouldn't feel rejected at all, she's being honest about her feelings. Getting into a serious relationship with another person who carries serious baggage can be really awkward initially and cause a lot of problems. That's not how the beginning of a relationship should be at all.

1 month isn't that long of a time and even if things are awesome just take it slow. If she's really the one for you, what's the rush?

Actually, I think your 20s is the age where most people are trying to figure out what the fuck they want. When you're in high school, it seemed like everyone wanted to be in a relationship and find love (granted it may be different now).

Now in their 20s, they realize that every relationship they had prior was a sad joke excuse for a relationship and they knew nothing about love so they try to rediscover themselves.

It is also the time where they start developing their careers and get more rooted into school or whatever. So really, it's a shit time to have a relationship for a lot of people as most people are not yet comfortable enough in their new skins to have to carry other people's baggage as well.

Honestly, she probably enjoys the attention and comfort of another being but cannot commit. She may enjoy your company but maybe doesn't see it lasting in the long run, so why take it to the next level? She's obviously not ready for a relationship and may be kidding herself in attempting to believe otherwise. I wouldn't pressure her either because it will just push her away... UNLESS, she's into drama and wants you to chase her the entire time.

Now you have to ask yourself, are you only trying to push the relationship because you feel it's what she wanted? Are you just trying to please her? Because it sounds like you're quite into this girl, so maybe it was only one sided the entire time and you just were too oblivious and infatuated to see.
