What keeps you grounded?
alot of us have different stresses to deal with whether it be school, work or personal love life...
so my question to you is.. what, or who keeps you grounded when you're stressed out?" when you're about to do irrational things, who (or what) keeps you from doing them? -TiFF- |

there are a lot of people/things that play a huge role in helping me deal with shit.. but of the most influencial, I'd have to say:
my boyfriend plays a huuuuuge part in helping me deal with stressful and sometimes, what feels like hopeless situations. even hearing his voice or smelling his scent is enough to put me in a better mood. he's always there to make me realize how special I am and never seems to stop believing in me. then, there are 2 of my best friends whom I've known since I was 10. they're great for bitching about stuff, as well as those very serious heart to heart moments. and they're awesome for letting me see things in a different light when I'm too deluded to see it for myself. then, there's my music. depending on the music, I can go from being totally depressed to happy and cheery in moments. --Joanne :P |

I rarely ever get stressed or angry. I can only remember 2 times in my life where I've ever been angry and the few times I do get angry, I get incredibly angry but I have a habit of just breathing it out. like relaxation type meditation. I'm a really hard person to anger.
I don't bottle up my anger either. I don't dwell on a lot of things. anyways, to keep grounded, I punch things, often as hard as I can, bruising my knuckles for weeks... I practice karate, read/write poetry, meditate, run till I'm about to pass out. |
