Abortion and Suicide

I think it's awesome that everyone has an opinion about this stuff.

and thanks for not making it a pro-life VS pro-choice circular argument.

Abortion always seems like the best solution for people our age (young and not established career wise in life) Having ideals is good an all, but until you are in the situation, there are no easy answers.

suicide sucks. but sometimes people just can't live with the pain.

life is always about choice, eh?

Define "our age".

I think I could raise a child at my age.

And abortion is never the "best solution".

but there are many females out there who need that option. what if you are a sixteen year old, its your first time condom breaks and you get pregnant? a child cant raise a child, and they should have the option of abortion. what if a woman is raped by a man with dark hair when she is blonde, and her baby is born with dark hair and dark eyes, can she look it in the face? i knew of a girl who gave birth to her baby after being raped, and she couldnt look her baby in the eyes, and it was hard for her to attatch ehrself to it. however she felt she couldnt handle the guilt of abortion.
but back to the topic, diffferent women handle it differently. some feel guilt, others feel nothing. personly i would find it harder to give a child up for adoption then to have an abortion.

^ thoes examples are pretty much the only way i could understand someone having an abortion.....Not being femal I guess i cant really understand what it would be like to give up a child but I think that adoption at least the child has a life and lives. I totally could understand why having an abortion could lead to someone having harsh emotional problems/suicidal tendancies, it would be the hardest chioce one would deal with.

i've seen first hand the emotional trauma that abortion can cause a woman, i'd never wish it on anyone.... although people who talk bullshit like you do deserve that hardest kind of lesson

i'm far from pro life, but i'm not pro-abortion either... i see it as a last resort in a no-win situation

there are many who are pro-life...

then there is PRO-CHOICE

it doesn;t mean you necessarily agree with abortion, you just feel that the CHOICE should be available to women.

I dont think having an abortion neccessarily casue those problems, I think that you have to troubleb from the get-go. But if your not mentally stable and your not a mentally strong person than it will come crashing down on you and it will be hard. But if your strong and you know the reasons you had the abortion were good ones, and wasn't just because you were a dumb little slutty gurl who went and had sex and got pregnant (and usually those gurls are already depressed, suicidale and troubled) than it is a lot easier to deal with.

i wish i could boil down my feelings on this issue to a concise paragraph.

for some reason taking all of the physical, moral, emotional and spiritual reasonings behind each viewpoint and making it an easy to read 4 line post that happens to tug the heartstrings in a favorable direction is just so trite.

i dig my grandfather. alas, he is rabidly anti-abortion. he marches in the yearly anti-abortion rally. he has never talked about it with anyone, my own mother didn't know where he went until she was in her late 30s.

i see him as a kindred spirit to me, and is probably one of the most intelligent guys i know. with that in mind, to see people villanify each other over something like this seriously breaks my heart.

if everyone can move past the rhetoric i think we'd all be better off.
