So true. Ever past relationship, long or short lived teaches us something valueable that we will bring with us to the next one. I learned not to compromise myself in thinking i couldn't do better but also to accept myself and understand that the other person is with me for many great reason. Amen to that, I was in a pretty weird relationship. It was all about compliments. If she didnt like what i had to say she would throw a fit. I wouldnt even say rude remarks. for example: She came over one eve, i was cooking and she was really frisky, She got undressed and was frolicking in my living room just waiting for me to finish. I turned around and say "wow, those undies are teenie" not thinking anything of it. She took it as me saying that her ass is fat!!! For gods sake she is 115lbs, even if she gained 50 her ass would still be teenie. anywho thats my two cents.

I like it. I agree with Tea about the friends constantly bitching, it makes me just want to cut them off and ask why the hell they are even bothering? Although it makes me think (what the hell is wrong with me? Why don't I have anybody?)..it also makes me realize that I am smarter for waiting for somebody I really want and not settling for less. And as great as relationships may be..its also another subject of stress in your life and at the stage in life I'm at right now I'm rather happy to not have to worry about it. Finally I think the one thing I really miss is the person to just go home and cuddle with when your both too drunk for your own good, I miss those cuddles and talks.

ive been single for about roughly two years, after some seriouse relationships. and ive gotta say being single right now for me is wonderful! im getting my sh*yt together...then when i find someone who i wanna buckle down for, im ready for that in case we fall in love situation...if you cant love your self then you cant love another the right way....i get lonely at times but then i make out with my friends hahahahaha......"mostly joking!!!".....but i find when your sad and lonely you forget about the world around you...sometimes looking for things might mean you might miss it, if your looking too hard...let it find you..hugs to all you lonly ones....smile you have your friends..xoxox..think of it this way>> its less drama to be single

i didnt find\come across\was found by the boyfriend until i was actually content with being single. i went through alot of "im lonely" nonsence and too much drama for a single lady. refound alot of independence, but mostly found my happiness - the kind where when i go for a long walk by myself with my camera or my sketchbook, i dont feel lonely or sad, i feel amazing. and the fact that i can still have the feeling makes me just as happy, and believe that i am finding myself - as corny as that sounds - but im understanding what i need out of life, slowly.
congrats to all you lovely single people for relishing in your own happiness. alot of people in relationships tend to be much more lonely then those who are single, its awful but true.

hmmm it gets lonely. to me a boyfriend is just a bestfriend who i can depend to keep me company/happy and share special moments with. i have friends who make good company and keep me really really happy too. i duno.. haven't been in many relationships in my life, but im not complaining, im sure there will be lots in the future. being single is meh.. im used to it, but yea it gets lonely and obviously the cuddles and numerous hugs could definately be a bonus in life right now. id whine and cry about being single, but that wont really solve any problems lol.

i was single for 2 years and it was the best thing that happened to me. Taught me how to live for myself and not *need* to be in a relationship and made me far happier and secure with who I am.

I wish being single for 2 years had had that effect on me. Seems like it's just been the reverse... probably be single until I learn to stop being so fucking insecure about it. God knows when that's going to happen.
