It makes me cry. I can't imagine growing up in an unstable home. I was lucky to have really good parents that have been together going on 30 years now. I just feel bad for this baby and its not even born yet. I can't imagine being a child with a really sore throat and my mom say "sorry we can't go to the doctors cause we can't afford it". Its a terrible thing.

Here's the UK branch and their mission statement: LIFE is a national charity. We are a pro-life organisation and therefore committed to upholding the utmost respect for human life from fertilisation (conception). Our aim has always been to provide help and support to women, especially young women, who are faced with a problem pregnancy. This is exactly what we have done for over 30 years, and we have a network of services available nationwide. We help thousands of women (and men) every year. [...] LIFE can provide practical help and support after birth. We have a network of baby shops which can supply baby clothes and equipment, and our centres can also supply equipment to anyone who might need our help. Please contact us for more details. http://www.lifeuk.org/about_life/about_home.php I'm sure Canada has its own. :) |

Man, It bothers me when people don't take good care of their bodies when having a baby. The fact that she's not even finding out how best to deal with the situation shows that she's not responsible enough to take care of a child. And from what I understand, if you're a smoker, and having a baby; quitting cold turkey does create stress but it's still recommended that you quit, but gradually. cutting back a few cigarettes a week.
Really, the greatest tragedy is the fact that this kid will probably live a harsh life. |

Those facts scream BAD SITUATION. If she doesnt see that I dont think theres much chance of you being able to bring the reality to her eyes. Id say be BLUNT, as blunt as you can possibly be. She'll get mad , but its worth it for saving her from the possibility of ruining her life.

Medical coverage is mandatory for all citizens and permanent residents of this country
basic medical comes at a premium of $54 a month, but if this person is sixteen and making six dollars an hour, she is certainly eligible to have her medical fully subsized. She most likely has coverage, she just assumes she doesn't and that happens all the time. More than likely given her age and the fact that she is on her own, she probably is under some kind of care of the ministry of children and families that provides extensive basic and enhanced coverage. If she doesn't, I'd definitely advise her to visit a ministory of human resources office stat and get herself some help. remember, you live here, YOU ARE COVERED :317: |

I salute her for her decision to have her child, because coming from a woman who just recently had to go through an abortion and knowing what I know now about the emotional and mental after affects of abortion...if i could turn back time and change everything thats done...i would. what do you do? You dont do fuck all but support her in whatever decision she makes, sure it might not be one you agree with but if this is someone you truely care about you WILL be there for her UNCONDITIONALLY. Im not even going to go any further because this just makes me fucking angry to no end. |
