Young girls getting pregnant

This very young girl that I know (16) is pregnant, she wants to keep it. Heres whats happening. She makes $6 and hour, her bf (whose like 23) makes $11 and hour. They dont have any medical and she hasn't been to a doctor in a couple years. She smokes like a chimney and wont quit because she thinks the stress will be bad for her baby. She can't even go to the doctor and get an opinion because they dont have enough money to pay for the visit. She is so happy about it and she thinks that love alone will raise her baby. I dont even know what to say to her cause she is looking to me and my bf for support. What do I do. ...

What is she goin to be able to provide to her child ?? shes going to end up dropping out of schoo.. guarenteed her bf will end up leaving her and she'll end up on welfare! That is totally unfare to that she would think about bringing a child in to the world! i dont hava rite to say she should abort it but shes still a child!

BC Med doesnt cover checkups also I do beleive medical costs 30 a month or somthing isnt it.. Idonno I have never had to pay for it always had a private plan..

Best thing to do tell her she is a fucking idiot for smoking with that kid in her then tell her the next best thing she could do is put the kid up for adoption or beg her parents for help..

Then I suggest sending her to get some help cause she is gonna be fucked and that kid is not gonna lead a very good life I have seen this happen more then once. Worst part is she more then likley will want to party afterwards and leave the kid at random places. I gotta good story on that one if you got the time..

i don't see how some people can take having a baby so lightly. this is/will be a living, breathing, food-eating, poop-producing, endless noise-making machine! that's gonna take some SERIOUS work. for the baby's sake i hope she really gets her life in order and quick and if it's the bf's kid then he BETTER take care of it too.

medical is free for those who cannot afford it.
she HAS access to medical care.

first thing is to drag her to a doctor
for the care of the unborn.

what about a walk in clinic? tell her to pay the price, she'll need some pre-natal care especailly if shes smoking and doesnt want to quit. plus does she think that shes going to have a home birth? shell have to pay for the hospital visit when the little ones arrives. not to mention the fact that babies are not always healthy, neither are kids. walking germ plantations so is she just not going to take her kid to the doctor? but the future always seems so far away and so not an issue.

no one will be able to talk sense into her, unless you can convince her to go to some teen pregnancy talks\seminars. go to your doctor, get the info from them for her about places she can go like planned parent hood, ect. there are alot of organizations out there for this kind of situation, and if you really want to help her, youll find out where they are.

Thats another problem. She doesn't live very close. So I can't just drag her around back and hose her off.

Well if she is under 18 I do believe she falls under her parents care and dollar unless this has been resolved with the government. But hey I may be wrong its been known to happen.

someone probably mentioned this, but there are many youth clinics around the lower mainladn that provide exellent services for matters liek that..even free councilling. they're great for youth.. and helping them out with probs from preganancy to just relieving stress. sometimes i perfere going to a youth clinic instead of my fam doc.. i think tahts her number 1 bet right now. then ADULTS can help her decide weather she should keep the baby or not..in the end its her choice, but with her youngness, she might not able to weigh out the positives and negatives. please be there for ure friend.
