For me it's music of all kinds - thrown onto my iPod and taken with me on a journey away from my sorrows.
Chillout, Trance, House, Ambient, Hardcore, Indie, IDM, Hard Dance, Noisecore, Lounge... it comes with me as I walk the streets of my city, not thinking about anyone or anything. I don't have a destination when I walk, I just walk. Once back in reality, I feel much more relaxed and ready to take on any person and problem. Sometimes we just have to get away from it all. Deleting people of negative influence from your instant messenger program and your cell's phonebook is another good way of starting to make time for yourself. You don't want to see their names - they only make you more stressed out. |

I go for a run and crank my tunes. Then, I listen to slow jams during my cool-down.
If I'm stressed out or feeling down, I'll call my boyfriend. He puts things in perspective for me and allows me to see the big picture - you know, the important things in life. And he makes me laugh :) |

when i need time to myself i sit in my apt by myself and just do a whole lot of nothing... or just watch tv, cook myself a giant dinner that i cant finish or just ebay...very mind numbing.
other than that my bf and i have been driving around parks/beaches/out of nowhere lately to just relax, its so nice..especially when its 4am and no one is around. staring into the sky of stars really clears my mind and puts things into perspective for me. |

it sounds totally kitchy...but when I need time to myself, I iron.
totally housewifey and totally not me-ish..but it's what helps bring some normality to my life. Now that I live so close to the beach, I've also been enjoying going for jogs on the occasional morning and chilling out beachside more often than not |
