As I walked onto the bus the excitement started to rise... *By the way thanks to those guys who were handing out candy on the bus* Once I arrived at the venue I knew that it was gunna be an awsome party... who woulda ever thought that there was going to be a rave at a laser tag vanue.. hehehehe... Both rooms were awsome!! The maze,, OMG I swear I go lost like a milion times,, due to the fact that I think I have been there like once.... I remember running through the maze as thought I was running on a field... *who ever saw me fall on my a$$ when I was running down the ramp.. Nothing like a fashionably late review, right? Well, I'm not really sure if this was a good night or a bad night. There were some aspects of it that just frustrated the hell out of me, but then again I was pretty stressed (when am I not?) so mebbe it was getting to me more than usual...or mebbe not. Constraining myself to the party, tho - from the moment I got in until I left I was having a great time. Super friendly peeps, good vibe, good atmosphere, great tunes and great 'extras' like the venue itself lead me to think that yes, this could have been one of my fav events of the past year. Only two complaints, aside from the obvious unplanned event end time - the ventilation on the dance floor was for naught...it actually felt like I was inhaling heat the closer I got to the front; and the serious lack of adaquate washroom facilities. But these are minor complaints on what could have been an incredible evening (unless, of course I had passed out from heat exhaustion in line for the bathroom and subsequantly peed on myself...lol).
After party hanging out was fun...thanx to the person who's place we were hanging out at...I know exactly what U look like but for the life of me your name eludes me...story of my life. Dave...should U keep doing what U are doing? Good question...honestly, I don't know. I'm not sure if I've been to one of your events in the past...but obviously U've got a lot of support behind you, including myself. I have to wonder, though, about the logistics of throwing a large(r) illegal event. The more peeps, the more chance for something to go wrong that leads to an early end to the evening. But as your parties get better and more desirous to be at, its gets tougher to contain them to a small event. The answer? I don't know...if I did I'd tell U. Would I support U in the future if there was a risk of the event being shut down? Yes...but. Only to a point. If the next 3 of your events got shut down then certainly it would diminish. Aside from a good dollup of prayer (or a bribe to the cops), how do U balance the odds with 'public demand'? Again, just some thoughts... But overall, yeah...good night...great party...better than solid effort. |

Well, let's see... Where to begin. First off, I'd like to thank the Oxygen krew for giving us a ride over to planet laser, cause the shuttle was a pain. I was disappointed that I couldn't bring in my booze. I was even more disappointed that I couldn't get it back at the end, but with all the cops there, what'd you expect. As for the venue, it was way too packed for me. I spent about a total of 20 minutes in either of the rooms. I spent most of the time chillin in the main area and running around the maze. OMG Neil was too funny! Should I have been drunk instead seeing as how it was my b-day. I think I probably had just as much fun laughing at Neil though. I'd like to remind the men and women serving on the New Westminster police force that Vanessa loves you (and Jay want's to hump your leg [bwaaaaaaa..... chuck!!])
As for after the party, that's when the fun started. When you have shit loads of energy and you have nothing better to do, climbing up the Lougheed skytrain station does seem appealing. And launching grocery buggies off your car is fun, yet difficult. The tricky part is stearing them away from other cars. Driving to Brandi's place and back wasn't too fun, but it was for a good cause, so that's all good. Then I spent the next 6 hours sleeping cause sleep is good. Loryn, your journal is too crazy. Gotta love story time with Jay. :217: This is where my memories start to get fuzzy. When we post some of the journal stuff, then you guys will understand (well that's the idea at least). The candy I had from Sexy Sexy was good. And sketchio's on toast, mmmm. Sketchio's, the breakfast of ravers. I like it sideway! Last edited by JoNeSie; Nov 11, 02 at 09:32 PM. |

*note I didn't read all replies*
but in my opinion if anyone is going to buy a ticket to a party that is illegal then they should well know that there is a possibility that it may be busted.. andif they are gonna bitch and complain.. then maybe the scene just isn't for that person! Dave, you get MAD *PROPS* for putting up with all this shyte from kids that want you to throw these parties. Cause you know you don't really have to do it but your a crowd pleaser, I guess, right? You did a good job for putting this one together.. it wasn't exactly your fault it got busted.. you didnt know there was a party down the street that would affect you/the party? But personally I would support you no matter wut.. you dont have controll of the entire situtation and we cant blame you for that.. and if anyone does... they're pretty dumb.. sure you can get a permit to have the party.. but that can be a LOT of trouble I would assume.. and theres things that come along with that.. Plus I belive even with out the permit you do a pretty damn good job to make sure everyones ok and and happy! uh, yeah.. It hink thats about all I have to say.. WEeeee |

To tell you the honest truth regarding the venue and the lack of space is that we had a previous venue thatw as alot bigger. We lost it sometime last week and we found that venue within days of the party meaning the party was almost cancelled! In the middle of the party when we noticed it was getting a little to packed so we called owner and offered more money to open the maze AGROout |

My only dissapointment was that I didn't get to see pants set [I feel partially responsible for him being booked :p] I didn't know so many of you people were there. You sure aren't good at introducing yourselves. They ought to make f&k coasters. I still have my plastic fork. M |

If you're wondering if you should continue... I don't know. I wouldn't. Do you enjoy it anymore? Enjoy the people as much? You guys have seemed more and more serious at your parties.
What's your goal with AGRO now? What are your goals in life? Is throwing parties taking away energy and time from what you want to do with life? If it is, quit. If you get life from throwing your parties, don't. If you want to make money, how about using all the people you've met... all your charisma and start a Friday or Saturday Hip Hop/Jungle clubnight? wut zondac said is kindof true..........
