Hate to talk about what might have been..however.. I was one of the guys that was setting up the original site. The Main stage was a very nice set-up, we did some pretty interesting things with a large white tarp and bumpin sound ...same with stages 2 and 3. I personally was very dissapointed that we couldn't see our creativity at work...cause it would've been fukkin cool and you all would've enjoyed yourselves very much. For the record.I'm NOT one of the promoters for D'oh merely part of the production crew.

hahahaha,
ARGO DAVE (in my accent) hahahah, it was a long night that's for sure, after all the mud and hicks, we finally found the "party" I guess you could call it. I do give props to the fundamental crew for sticking it out, and putting something on. After all, I actually had an awesome night, I people I came up with made it fun!! And hirshee of course rocked the place!!! One of the best parts is when hirshee steped in a huge puddle and soaked himself, and all you hear in the bushes is FUCK!!! ha too funny!!! RAVE RAVE RAVE! hahaha |

Well first off everybody I like to say I'm very sorry about hte cancellation of Doh mobody is more upset than me first the site got busted at 9 when we were about to start the music next I got lost just like I'm sure many of you did for 4 hours and was trying to use my phone to get in touch with people no service and evrybody lost the worst possible situation so we had to cancel next refunds if you purchased tickets from one of my Dj's as many of you did they will be told to give refunds next the stores won't be giving refunds I will take email at [email protected] to deal with refunds either you can get a refund a cheap ticket to the boat party a ticket to apex and money and if I can't meet with you by apex I will be there giving refunds also Whistle This in October will be a sort of apology/makeup party by doing it either Free or super cheap tickets and go all out to say I'm sorry I will do everything and anything it takes to make it up to everybody

get some cb radios next time. or rent some vhf units. you're operating on line-of-sight analog mode on your cells out that far. if you had one of those old monster motorolas, you might be able to do it if you had a clear sight of the tower. but if all you have is a piddly tri-mode, you're not going to get anything at all.

Thanks to richard for the use if his tailgate and truck Thanks to bryan for keeping every thing alive, Thanks to dave for carrying my record box across the beach, Thanks to dj Jeff Daniel for your help in relocating our gear (hope your girl friends car made it out in one piece) Thanks to our friends who helped us take our shit home. Thanks to those who spun: Hirshee Dan Van Tijn Mr.Sinister everyone threw down so thank you for that (got to love the moths getting caught in the turn table stylist) what a sketch fest! =) Thank you to everyone who made it, stuck around and made a party out of it. We wouldn't have lasted with out your good spirit and excitment. the 70 odd people that stuck around....You 've given me some memories that will take me to the grave. The rain began to fall, not very hard but enough to cool down the flailing bodies as the evening began to finally take off. As Mr.Sinister took control of the dex after my set the energy on that beach was phonominal. I turn around to hear ravers shouting and whistling leaping around getting covered in sand and sweat. Then as I turn to recieve a spliff that was maiking it's way around the circle I hear the crowd directly in front of the dj tent begin to chant those sweet, sweet words that put me in the best mood.... RAVE! RAVE!RAVE!RAVE!RAVE!RAVE!RAVE! To those who drove and drove and drove only to get stuck in the sand and go home early. The directions were sketch cause they were recorded in the blackhole of cellular receptions aka squamish valley. The origanal site fell threw at the time the party was suppost to start so you've got to understand that we made really good time as we had to go to a site that many of us had never been to previously. After the traffic caos and getting lost we got enough of our pa down on the beach and had the party going by 1am. Thanks again to those who partied with us, we all had a wicked time and can't wait to do it again! (without all the BS that everyone dealt with). thanks again Bret Last edited by soma; Jul 21, 03 at 04:05 PM. |

Maybe everyone going to attend an outdoor party should bring one along? :P |

IMO there should always be 2 or 3 back up plans when doing a party of this scale.. especially when the owner of the location hasn't even been informed that you're going to be setting up 4 stages on their land...............
but its all in the past now. |

Rosco, no worries. At least you're doing the right thing, and working on refunds or alternate arrangements, and also the part about doing Whistle This for cheap or free...if all that goes through, in my eyes that's damn cool. I mean, parties get broken up, shit happens.
It's just stuff to learn from, I guess. Frankly, I had an asbsolutely wicked time that night, so it's all good. :) That's a pretty neat location, though...with the right directions (now that some of us have been there)....hmmm. The possibilities..... |

no worries?? oh FUCK NO
rosco you fuckin better be worried to lose tonnes of money, and all your support from the very few triple a supporters har har har har and stop saying IM THE MOST PISSED OFF, or NOBODY IS MORE ANGRY THAN ME bullshit, you are so bullshit you fucked up, admit it, appoligize and stop making up hurting excuses you fuck :finger: :moon: :finger: :moon: :finger: |

ok so it took me a little while to drive there...and ok so we have to relocate....ok...where is mile 18 again???? After 3 hours of driving and many many attempts to call people....i finally ran into a couple peeps like a block away from the first hidden turnoff...after i found that the rest was easy.....or so i thought.....after flagging down cars that were probably headed home or worse still looking for the party.....so setup for the stage was great "very resourceful" a little small but hey it did more then the trick.......the moths were ridiculous so many moths...i guess better then chilliwack mosquitos i suppose. Now once we the music started thats when all the trouble we had just gone through was starting to fade away. There are tons of people i would like to thank, but first i wanna thank those people who stuck it out with us...you guys made it for me, and made this one of the best crowds and parties i have ever played...i don't think i have enjoyed myself as much as i did at tangent. You people were insipring. To Bryan thanks for the booking and thanks for making sure we got to play at all. Bret i wanna thank you too man, was that a grind, you played some sick shit, but next time can i mc??? Dan you tracks were dope, Hirshee man you rocked it as usual....and on a side note....I am disappointed in the way doh was being run for this...you guys could have made it there just asa easily as fundamental did, and also if you were not gonna setup a stage the least you could have done is call you entertainment and tell them, i have read and heard from numerous djs about how they were either worried they were gonna miss sets or came from out of town to spin, only to find out the stages they were booked for were not gonna be there, i mean even at the party we had djs who were booked by triple a and came out expecting to play on the stage that was there....I'm sorry but if you can't it together to set up a stage or at least enough to call the djs you booked to tell them its canceled or somethingl...i gotta wonder.....
