mampi swift is coming up soon in june, then we got Shy fx in july.. evol intent and infiltrata are playing in seattle next month, although evol intent may be to chaotic for some.. i listened to a really good infiltrata set a while ago.. Fresh(from bad company) is headlining that UNITE! party in vancouver.. 2 rooms..second room is DNB all night.. with all ur favourite locals... Fresh is then playing again at USC 8 in seattle.. along with Tech itch vs. decoder(excited! for that one), freaky flor and mc flipside MC MC and locals...

summer looking good so far.. im really excited to go to WEMF in toronto too, dillinja, Ed rush & optical, shy fx, lemon d, craze, the freestylers, slip & slide etc etc

It was alright.

I wasn't really feeling it for some reason...possibly because I was exhausted and only running on 2.5 drinks. I even left Sonar by myself at one point to run down the block and buy a donair.

Did anyone else notice that there was a bit too much tech, and not enough bass?

I thought the crowd was great, though. Everyone seemed really happy to be out that night. It was nice seeing all the people I don't usually see on a regular basis.

All i have to say is people are damn rowdy! with all the moshing and punching and bloody noses you'd think we were at a Slipknot concert or something! i loved every second of it. haha

I was expecting POTD to spin on there own, meh. Great show PH1, I just have 1 complaint. Think its possible to have this same lineup @ the commodore? More room, and better sound system to handle dnb IMO. DSL's last apperance was better IMO , he spun better tracks but he was still awsome. Not a huge fan of Dara, but I do enjoy Ak12oo a lot more with his track selection from the event.

As for Andy C. Wow! Its the 2nd time Ive seen him and he truly rocked the crowd. The comment on playing too many bassline tracks, man that's what he's known for. I payed money to see him drop the phat bassline tracks and he didnt dissappoint. I left at 330ish and heard that it went till 430. :(

PS - I'm standing out and the Black SUV pulls up. A few people are talking about how much they love Dieselboy and AK and the suddenly they both walk right infront of them. The so called fans don't even flinch and have no idea that they both just walked infront of them. ^.^

haha was that you? i think i might have talked to you for bit...i remeber talking to a half asain dude (i think)... if it was you then you were pretty wasted. you were slouched over on the side walk pretty much bent over touching your toes... i walked up to you and asked you if you were okay. at one point you tried to get back in I told you not too, because the bouncer reacted by pushing you down on the ground. and as i went to pick your ass up off the ground then the bouncer threw me down.

fuck man haha, yeh i had already drank alot before the show, and thought it would be alright to pound back the double ryes and cokes , two at a time.. had like 9 or 10 plus whatever else i drank before the show.. and got black out drunk.. im such an idiot, i missed half the show..

Commodore is a very expensive venue and would jack up the ticket price quite a bit.

i would've been looking at The Cave, and maybe bringing in a massive sound rig, probably from south of the border. but it's that kind of overly ambitious thinking that has lost me a lot of dough on past promotions.

thats why you should do a show! there's a lot of good rigs here though if you oont use the usual "rave/club" companies and go the higher end route.

^Commo has a flat fee for outside promoters to use the club, whereas most other clubs use a sliding-scale system, relative to the bar sales. Not sure of the exact amount but we're definitely talking several thousand dollars. So even with the added capacity, tickets would have to be a lot more. That, plus the fact that previous dnb shows there have been just as rife with sound problems as Sonar, would have made it a bad coice of venue.

Yeah, I hear ya on bad sound at commodore. After Adam F & Craze, the rep for dnb shows there must have hit rock-bottom. Personally, the best sound at a dnb show has to go to Lotus, but if you wanna get a nice big crowd out, then Richards is next in line. Craze & Skiba was siiiiick!!
