Im not saying their mixing wasnt spot on Jay. Great mixing skills, some songs sounded like they were one.. Uber profesional djing there. But what Im saying is other than that.. It wasnt worth the $25.00 considering that set seemed very.. very planned. |

Absofuckinlutely Killed It !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the first show that I didn't get pissed @.
I'm glad I didn't because I probably would've joined the idiots hangin' off the railing right in front of the tables, lol. I wanted to hear Pain Killer, allegedly they haven't even burned it yet (What they told John) how is it on the essential mix then ? I don't get it !? I found one of the busted cd's they tossed, it's signed but I still got them to sign some shit. Big Ups to all those who were there, those who weren't, you might as well off yourself now because there isn't gonna be a bigger show this year :p |

show of the year ... gonna be hard to top
and its not even like the mosh pit was sporadic ... it was consistant everytime a heavy drop hit , people were moshing , it was intense , fucking electronic rock n roll shit! i did wonder what was going through the heads of some of the drunken idiots less the 2 inches away from the dj's flailing on the railings ... give them some breathing space guys whoever didn't enjoy themselves at this show is either deaf , an idiot , or just plain and simply shouldn't be listening to dnb one for the textbook oh and dabz . i was there since 11:30 , just didnt bump into you cause i was on the floor the whole time |

That was undeniably the biggest drum & bass event of the year!
Big ups to Rob and Gaz of Pendulum for throwing down a sic set. Some of the mixes were well rehearsed, as some of the exact same transitions can be heard on their essentials mix. Either way, those boys fucking kiiiiillllllled it! Psidream & Pacific did a wicked job warming up the crowd. The crowd was hype right from the get go. large ups to Silverwaters and Exert for bringing these boys to Vancouver. You put on a massive effort, and it payed off H U G E! great seeing everyone there last night you know who you all are :202: It was fucking perfect: The crowd, the vibe, the intensity of what a drum & bass show should feel like. 400+ heads all there for one reason: drum & bass..what you gonna do!? Holy MADNESS!!!
That was some fucking moshing and a half. I didn't get into it at all but I sure did dodge a lot of elbows. Those were some rowdy ass clowns hanging off the rails there. I didn't hear the decks skip.. but man.. if i was spinning up there and some guy was coming inches from slapping me in the face i'd probably punch him out. Those guys didn't even looked phased at all. That was cool seing Q project there... I thought there were gonna do some sort of guest appearance thing.... obviously that didnt happen. I like how Pendulum does a lot for their live shows. I know most of their tunes like the back of my hand and they always do reworkings for when they play out. Its nice to have switchups and stuff that you didn't expect. Too bad I couldnt stay till the very end though.... I had to catch the last bus at 3:00. I really wanted to tell those guys what a wikkid set they had and how incredibly talented they are when it comes to producing. The only things I would change would be more bassbins and cheaper drinks |

Well.... I know that I don't go out to many events any more, but I sure am happy that I didn't miss this one. I have never seen the crowd at the sonar or any club for that matter go that insane over soo many sick tracks. to put it in simple terms from my view of leaning on one of the pillars at the back watching... Wicked A$$ insane crowd over hypin' show from the begining to the end, meaning from when I got there 11:45ish till about 2:00ish PSI and PAC awsome opening, couldn't have picked a better opening tag.
all in all WOW. Greaat seeing tons of the old faces i havn't seen for a while. i'm not going to start listing them cause i'll be here for too long lol PEACE |
