woW . 30 hrs later and i finally wake up.
grass everywhere . bruises on my back ? -- cuts & scratches on my arms and legs. From myself & everyone else involved doin the LCU stage .. i`d like to thank the ppl for gettin down w/ us. We did have the potential to having 1 of the best sounding stages there .. but a small adapter error on our generator put that down the drain. We had to unplug 3 of our 4 bassbins, un plug all our lighting, and turn down all our amps just to make sure we wouldnt cut out. Sorry for the shitty sound to the ppl that had to go thru that till 3am. More so my apologies to my DJs which had to endure that BS - (brentley b, reign, cipher, b-funk , c stylez @ the snakeyez.) HUGE shoutout to MIke Lander @ Soundwave. -- he was the guy puttin together that huge stage near the entrance that didnt go up till about 1130 .. To make a small story short, he went head over heels .. opened up the generator, re-configured a bunch of shit , opened up his own cables w/ a knife, re wired , split a bunch of shit .. and plugged it back in . (w/ no shirt on, ciggerette in mouth , mosquitos eating him alive) At the end, my generator looked like a BOMB about to go off. LOL we plug it back in and bOOm .. we got solid bass + sound. After that I cant remember as much .. but we were okay. Big shouts to Greg C for rockin out the UK Hardhouse --- ppl were goin crazy to that. Yeppa & Speddy layin down that original shit -- u guys killed it . Twista & Hirshee were sick .. Hirshee was lacin sum of his own material . SICK bASSLINES . These 2 should play together more often. As for my partner in crime JOSH AKa aVerage citizen .. I been told more about us then i can remember. Papa Roach, Nirvana, Wheezer @ 8am? ! .. hahah -- i think we did ok. Nice meetin lots of new ppl i never met before. MarZ - ur nuts . first time i ever seen u play. Skywalker (missyz cousin) - thx for letting me know i had grass all over my face & back. Kristene - sorry on my behalf for letting josh steal ur bottle of bacardi at 7am .. and sorry for helping him finish it. Josh - fuck man , i was all about the beach after .. we couldnt find u . . my phone died . my girl got choked cuz i had that half eaten Watermelon on my lap the whole time. At the end i passed out at the beach and woke up at home at 12pm. SUmmerbreaks .. its oN. Lastly .. fuck the police .. i didnt even know they were allowed to be there. and of course they bust me first. lest just say i lost a lot of 60 pounders. btw - AVANA -- -wheres my booze YO! - see u all in 2 weeks. |

(btw....where the hell was everyone?????? we didn't see anybody, and we came up to the beach with another car of people--who we couldn't find! lol) the only good thing about the night was spending time with good friends and making a few memorable moments. but i didn't even get much of that this year :( i wasn't even in the mood for taking photos.....which is wierd for me. nirvana at like seven in the morning------put a smile on my face. you're fuckin crazy kid!!! wish i had the energy to bust out and mosh-----cause you kno i would have. shell----jesus christ nabs!!! lol. and fucking boys skipping the line for vip and leaving us there to rot. thanx for the rescue!!!!! you kno who you are. thanx for the ride krystal (sp?) glad i got to chill on the beach with you guys. only 13 days till summer break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's all i'm thinkin of right about now. ps. tooo much fuckin trance and shitty hard house at this party and not enough drum n bass!!!!!! can't wait till SBV edit: i sure had a lot to say about a party i didn't really enjoy all that much. Where to start: Big ups to Silverwaters and Swing Kids! Thank you so much for inviting me out for this event. It was my FIRST Apex...and i got to be on the flyer! that was about it! no mic on the SW/SK stage until 1am?!?! wtf..oh well...gives me room to wander the stages and STEAL A MIC!!! hahaha UNDOUBTLY the best highlight of my night...the reformed FEME FATAL Stage.... AMANDA RUDE and MIZ MARZ!!!!shit ladies, thank you so much for getting down with my vox on the Mic. Marz, that was way too easy. self fufilling prophecy. I had so many people approach me after swearing they thought it was the track. ahaha...ravers. the DJ that was MC'ing/Hosting your stage..i couldnt remeber his name...but want to give you a huge thanks for letting me get up on the mic and for the props. pretty good night overall. glad i got out to see people i havent seen in a while.
the vision one stage was great! and .. euphonic entertainment i also thoroughly enjoyed. The night zoomed by for being sober.. can't wait to see what next year has in store. |

Now that I've slept, eaten, etc., here's some more thoughts on the night:
-Security was pretty lax again this year. I got patted down, and that's it. But I got in pretty damn fast, so who am I to complain? -I wish I knew Greg C was throwing down some hard house in the morning. But at least Rob threw down a bit of hard house on the Vision1 stage. -That was the first time I'd seen Amanda Rude spin. She was good! Brought a huge crowd to the Vision1 stage, and the crowd stuck around for basically the whole night. This pic was taken during Miss Marz's set, to give you an idea of the crowd that was there:  -Miss Marz, you ripped it up. You had the crowd going from the second you stepped up on stage. (BTW, thanks for letting me take the above pic. Not all people/stages were so accomadating, like narc mentioned earlier.) -There were a couple people I seen that that I hadn't in quite a while. It was good to see you all again. -Apex 2005 was the first rave I'd been to, and, except for a 2 month period where I pretty much didn't party at all, I've been going ever since. This was the (just over) one year anniversary of that, so I partied hard. Just look at some of the pictures I'm in. I think there's only one that I looked semi-normal in, and it didn't go up. I still feel a bit shitty, so good thing today is a holiday. For sure, it's been a damn good year. Apex 2005 was supposed to be my first and probably last rave, but that obviously never happened. I've had a lot of fun, met lots of people that I otherwise would have never met, and heard tons of great tunes. Although I might need a bit of time off again after the summer (with Apex, Shambhala, Summer Break, Electrified, and Twister five straight weekends), I'm sure you'll see me at plenty of events in the upcoming year. As long as the music is good, and people still say 'thanks for spending your own money to come to these events and take pictures for us', I'll be where the party is at. |

Was a good Apex I thought! Props to everyone who worked hard to make it happen and pull it off! To everyone I met: Met alot of you who I didnt even think I would run into! I want to list everyone off, but thats a big list, and Id probably forget alot of people! To the DJs: Alot of amazing sets! Just a few, Amanda Rude, MissMarz, C2, SmokeOne, LadyAK, GregC. I know there are a few others, but alot of sets I never got to figure out who it was, or I dont remember who was playing, or Im just forgetting! What happened: Good to see people still dress up for parties... kinda, err, well... wear clothes that they dont wear in public, i hope! With the porta-potty thing... lame. I know theres always dicks who do dick things at events such as this, but thats a little over the top. I had a great time. Again, glad to party with everyone. Good to meet all of you who I did. Sorry to anyone who I missed! Wicked music all night long @ one stage or another! Guess thats all I can think of for now! |
