Killer party! Except for a few minor problems but every party has them weather you hear about it or not.
To everyone rockin with me and Jeff on the True Ent./SmokeOne stage from 3-5am, you guys fuckin’ ROCK! We couldn't have had a better crowd, or a better stage to play on. JUST SICK! Set’s I saw that were dope: Scotty Hoe! SmokeOne (never thought I could get into trance) Sean Gunn and Jer (even those I didn’t realize it was him playing till I was driving home, lol) Dizzee Muthafuckin D! Great tunes and setup meng! True Ent. sure knows how to setup a stage. started my night off sober and had to deal with some running around for a mic. Ended up having to actually rent one off the sound guy to carry with me.
when i left my sets, i had to take it with me, because the sound guy had my cash Collateral and my ID!!! i didnt take anyones mic, no one missed their sets because i took "their Mic". Highlights: *HOOLAH HOOPS ARE FOR LOSERS!!!!-yea but i look fuckin hot dancin with one. attemted a holla trick, ended up horse shoeing my buddies neck who was 6ft away from me. SOME TRICK!! *Capital J-i was the girl, front row, on stage, fucking givin'er. Sooo AWESOME!!! *Miss Marz and Detn8r-DOUBLE UP!!! *Greg C-"are you twisted man?", greg C- "IM FUCKING WASTED AND I DONT EVEN CARE"..after i just handed my mic and cord to plug in....i quickly took back my equipment only to have his drunk ass deny me. So a few headliners didn't show up, and there were a few problems
From the looks of the pics, and the amount of dj's that actually did show up I think Silverwaters did a pretty damn good job given that they had to do it with pretty much no money At least the party happened! |

I was damn tired,and my buddy got a bit over-sunned in line and had to go puke/pass out for a few hours.
I had fun, but was totally bummed at the missed potential. I mean, the renegade stages had it together 100% more than most of the main stages (DnB/Breaks stage excluded... I think every single person there knows how to throw a great party). Yes, the BS was visible. Rediculous concession prices, only 5 porta-potties, and the Reid Speed thing bugged the shit out of me (though that was pretty much the end of the night). I basically wandered around and kept getting totally knocked on my ass by the talent and the crowd... it's unfortunate that the people that put on the event felt like the weakest link. Totally worth what I paid for it, cognitive dissonance and all. But I'm not sure that silverwaters will get my cash in the future unless there's some sort of satisfactory explanation of why some of the shit that's been mentioned went down. Big heloooos to everyone I haven't seen in a while, oh and Phat Conductor is my funky hippie god... everyone e-mail him some sleep, because the man works too damn hard. My favourite set @ SummerBreak was Johannes Gerhard.
Never heard of him in my life, but his driving progressive was excellent. Does anyone know where I can get in contact with him? I would like to get a mix of his to give to the people at our club here in Victoria (Hush) for their saturday nights. Mike |

danny taylor takes the cake. too bad i didnt find that hidden trance stage until midway through his set.
second goes to the autobot guy. third to anyone who played funky house....i only heard 4 tracks while wandering. electro house is shit. fourth goes to my right knee for dislocating and the no beer garden. thnx for the entry chewmain, im glad i didnt have to pay to go to that crappy party. |
