You have a contract for a reason, if the promoter is in breech of that contract, then use that to your advantage. Good thing you know how to do a search on FNK for all my posts in the punching bag since I have been a member for the past 4 years.

I seem to recall you whining in EVERY post you made about how sad you were cause everyone including Myles used to hate on you. I know how to use photoshop and print screen too.

As a Pro Dj myself, i can say this: a promoter as only a few SIMPLE guidelines when booking a DJ. a) Pay the DJ as agreed. b) Provide DJ with proper equipment. c) Provide transportation and lodging if those terms were discussed. But again, as DJs we need proper equipment, and we need to get paid for our time - BOTTOME LINE. If Reid, who i don't know may i add, had 2 working, capable CDJs (which is pretty standard in 2006), there would have been NO further issues... again -BOTTOM LINE. She would not have had to play DnB and Josh would have not been jumped , nor had a reason NOT to PAY her. Or am i missing something here? EVERYTHING that happened thereafter is a cause of the promoter not taking care of the most elementary issues - SOUND/EQUIPMENT. This is a party correct? Music provided by DJs, ya? Why are we letting this continue?
Ticket sales are going up for shows due to so many competitive promotors trying to set the highest bid to bring DJs, then the Djs are not getting paid, thus giving our city a bad name to return to, and there is always an excuse as to why we are not getting paid, and the Local artists who supply these "services" and "entertainment" keep allowing this to continue.

There were many other problems that occurred on Saturday Night, fights, Scenes, Egos and Drama.

Could we please just get back to the point where we as artists have taken time to invest into our craft, whether it be DJing, MCing, Production, Sound Engineering, etc.. and it is completly unprofessional of all of us to allow ourselves to be taken advantage of.

As I wasn't there first hand - I am only going by what I was told and by three seperate parties, and all accounts seem to match.

The CDJ was working fine. She didn't know how to use it. Akeel came over to take a look at it and explained that she had it on the wrong channel. Which an experienced DJ should know. All the DJ's that had used those decks prior to her playing didn't have a problem with them, why all the sudden did she.
