There is one way to post your dissatisfaction with a promoter, without name-calling. I am sure she is a good DJ and a professional, but I think the embellishment and the name-calling destroys her credibility. As it would for Josh or Kristine if they came on here and said the same thing. |

Sounds like it was a problem between the headphones and the decks. |

LOL!!!
I almost coughed out my internal organs onto your username on my screen after reading that. I don't care what ANY party says about her ability to use a CDJ - but I know one thing about a DJ who becomes internationally recognized for his or her DJing skills: He or she KNOWS how to use AND configure, wire and troubleshoot the following equipment that he or she plays his or her records/cds on: - Vinyl turntables - CDJs - Mixers End of fucking story. There is NO FUCKIN' WAY she wouldn't have noticed that the CDJ was plugged into the wrong channel if that was the case. The Pioneer DJM 500 or 600 mixer (whichever she was using) has visual LEDs that show into which channel is currently receiving signal. Even a monkey can figure that out. I believe her and that she said the pitch adjuster was broken on the CDJ (and thus it being disconnected from the setup by the previous DJ or sound technician). Its not that big of an issue to go dig through countless posts... just making a point seeing plenty of jabs made before. Maybe when im bored and have time in the future I will do an extensive search for those posts... and start a thread just to add to the festivites of the ongoing "FnK Drama"
Besides its completely off topic. |

The only thing remotely said bad about Evolve, is when someone as part of their "crew" has come online and tried to talk a big game on the net. For example, spewing crap about the flyers online, before they went to print, or something that was said at a meeting that should have been confidential. I also saw how embarassed that made senior members of your crew get. |

AVANA -
The issue wasn't the 1 CDJ, as Mykee said, she needed 2. That's why she ran out of vinyl. The majority of her music was on CD, she needed two CDJS in order to complete her set. Get it? There was also a Pioneer mixer which has four channels, so she shouldn't have even had to change the channel.. there could have been 2 CDJS, two turntables all running through the mixer. Mykee was spot on here. Continuing, i'm pretty sure she knows how to use a CDJ hun, seriously now. |

edit - a few people keep asking why I am defending Josh and Kristine....and the bottom line is, judgement should be reserved until both sides are posted. It has already been shown that she may have minced her words a bit. Her side isn't the only side to it. Last edited by Avana; Aug 21, 06 at 11:28 PM. |

Reid rocked it out, I enjoyed her set from the front stage near up to this happening. Speed Garage and some 2Step... I'm pretty shocked how this ended as she was on my top five sets of the night. Please come visit again Reid! Sorry, nobody deserves to be kicked out into empty Chilliwack, specially not an out of town guest. :(
