well that decision is up to her. she doesn't want to take your offer and I can understand...after talking to like 6 Shaw guys about it (all of them just lied to her) she grew tired of this...no surprise.
you don't have to confirm to us that Shaw shapes traffic...we already know that, thanks. dozens of other slsk users know it as well. the only one who doesn't seem to know is you...the guy who works there...that says it all.
what could you do anyway? "hey boss so would you plz uninstall that Ellacoya thingy? I have no clue what it is, but please!" haha...cute.

If you were getting files from me, then that would be my ISP (www.shaw.ca) here in Canada. It has been mentioned in previous posts that some ISP's are choosing to use packet sniffing software, possibly like http://www.ellacoya.com to control bandwidth. Downloading music in Canada is legal. Uploading.... has become the sticking point.
That said, you may not have been getting files specifically from me but possibly some other poor wage slave that uses Shaw or some other ISP that's controlling their bandwidth.

Rogers Cable, like other cable companies, has in fact been implementing something it calls "traffic shaping," a technology that gives priority to certain on-line activities (such as e-mail, browsing, voice communication) and putting the brakes on other less time-sensitive stuff, such as swapping music files...
