Tech. problem, help please.

Hear is the problem. I set up my router the other day, and all was fine. Then yesterday afternoon i was suddenly unable to sign in to a few sites, facebook being one, another my school email account.
I don't think i have changed anything in terms of firewalls or whatnot, but then again i am not that savy when it comes to the advanced workings of my computer.

I was hoping for some advice on things to check, boxes to tick, that sorta thing. Keep in mind i can access these sites on my roommates desktop, but not my notebook.

try a different browser. if that works, try enabling cookies in the one that doesnt work.
