so many other ones I can name as essentials or classics, but this album takes the cake for me.

I can't even begin to answer this question. It's like asking a parent which child they love more. Gees I mean The whole Biggie 2-Pac thing brought out a ton of great albums and then you have to think of Public Enemy and NWA....or Wu Tang and Tribe....Then Dre Solo and Snoop.....Hey Jay Z and you have to mention Eminem whos broken all records for a rapper and a white one at that. The music has too much talent over the years to put my finger on one artist let alone one album!

WSC does rip it pretty hardcore...

There are a LOT of smaller groups that have just totally rocked the hip hop scene though...Slug & Murs, Anticon, Eyedea & Abilities, Buck 65, Deep Puddle Dynamics, Jedi Mind Tricks, etc etc its fucking tough to pic the best.

Definitely a MAD word to NWA though...those boys started most of this shit we see today.

no kiddin man. there's just no way i can single out albums. so many styles and so much talent.. dre and snoop have been ownin the scene for how long now?? then you could get into all the great hiphop albums.. eminems new stuff is pretty good. good producing. 2pac and biggie definitely need mentioning. jedi mind tricks etc i need to find out what kind of equipment dre/snoop use , for when i get my own recording studio. i can't wait for immortal techniques new album its gunna be off the hook. im not positive of when its coming but somewhat soon. i love 213s new album, tons of hot tracks on there. MLK , gangst clique, ups and downs, sweet songs..
