seriously there are some weak choices on this list.

there's no way for me to pick just one album.... but my favorites are mobb deep - the infamous, company flow - funcrusher plus, del - no need for alarm, afrika bambaataa & the soulsonic force - self titled.

man, choda boy just saved this list, I was going to shame all of you for forgetting the 3 MCs. You're also missing Jurrasic 5's Quality Control & Power in numbers which are both awesome. And pretty much everything from the Roots is decent, dialated people are also good.

Locally ya'll should check out the first sweatshop union CD "Local 604". It's easy in my top 5 all time fav rap cds

That movie rocks. It makes me desperately want a local pub called the Winchester. But no zombies.... "they're a bit bitey"

Also, defientally an aquired taste, but Kool Keith is always classic. "get off my elevata... Securtiy will escort you from the building..."

Boo. Hiss.

Still no mentions of:

Gravediggaz - 6 Feet Deep
Heiroglyphics - 3rd Eye Vision
The RZA Hits (pretty much an early Wu Greatest Hits)
Kurupt - Streetz Iz A Mutha (HIGHLY underrated album)
Ghostface Killah - Supreme Clientele (ditto)
Swollen Members - Balance
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique

I guess my 2 cents would be to the only 2 rap albums that have never left regular rotation in my cd player (thats right, I liked them so much I bought them. And I even replaced them when I lost them):

Cypress Hill - IV
Deltron 3030

^ totally......the rap that has been produced after the last 3 years has been garbage in my opinion....nothing with real grit has come out since Wu - Forever for the excpetion of Do or Die - Pimpin Ain't Dead....I'm sorry but almost every MC has said what they've needed to say already....now all it is, is recycled shit, similar which you would find from an aniema appointment...

Why does it have to be oldschool to be considered 'best'? it was asked 'of all time', this isn't a best oldschool album thread. Though one should be made cos I would definitely be interested to see people's choices.

ps- my choice came out 11 years ago!
