K wtf guys?
You soldiered on into this for 7 pages?! And you took it seriously? There isn't even a source quoted. Kraig's just trying to bait you into calling the City of Vancouver to continue the joke. I have never seen fnk tricked so thouroughly. Usually most of you would discredit shit this stupid in an instant, after we had laughed at the few that thought it was real. I'm worried. You guys ok? You seem to be slipping... Or has everyone gone beyond "smarter-than-thou know-it-all" and switched to "ironic pretending to be gullible and flaky"? |

So really I wouldn't be suprised whether indeed Kraigs post was legit. However the question still remains.. Under provincial and federal laws does the city have any right to enforce this dress code thing...? I mean I can understand how the city manages permits say for things like tobacco and alcohol since its control based under both provincial and federal laws... But there isn't any laws that I have ever heard of about any types of clothing, whether it be designer hoodies/shirts, skirts, etc.... |

If Kraig really set the whole thing up then I gotta give him credit, he seemed genuinely pissed off with Sean! back there |

In that permit, the city really can have whatever provisions they damn well please, including a dress code. They're well within their right to demand that. Kids can still slut it up all they want, just not at these events. What would be a violation of our rights is if they started banning booty shorts in public. |

it is perfectly fair for a venue or promoter to have adress code for thier event, but for the CITY to come in and tell people what they can and cannot wear at a show is completely unconstitutional. whether or not any of this is true i dont give a fuck, but i what i DO want to see is more pictures of whats not allowed under this bylaw, real or not. i think he ment getting slizzard and going to any type of all night party is not an indication that you've taken on the responsibilities of adulthood.

Interesting you peeps think I'm joking. Feel free to come to any all night show in Vancouver and see what happens!
As for pissed off at Sean! Hahaha.. Not at all. I've know Sean for years - I was simply saying if he or anyone else doesn't believe me, feel free to call the City and ask! They were the ones who wrote that! |

I probably could've worded that better. Wasn't trying to take a hit at those events. I can hardly get my ass out to a club, let alone an all night event. not sure what i'm getting at....

Now I'm personally tempted to call City Hall and see what's up! |

Honestly? No. Lot's of people (especially these days) in their 30s refuse to be a 'grown up' - they want to stay young forever. Hence people still going to 'grown up' venues pretending they are 'grown ups' because they are around mostly people their own age - but really they are still at a rave. I honestly don't think you could call most 30 somethings 'grown up' these days.
