It's always terrible, no matter who ends it. But the thing to keep in mind that there is a lot of positive that can come out of this situation. It's an excellent time to reflect on yourself as a person, and think what could have led to this. Were you simply with the person out of habbit? Was it a benefical relationship? etc...

I have rarely seen someone come out of a relationship and end up a worse person.

Catch up with friends you've lost track of, pick up old hobbies, learn a new skill.

Dating/relationships sucks. But the thing is to keep in mind, chances are once you know what your doing and what you want, you'll find someone who's better for you.

that sucks, but like someone else said. Now you are one step closer to finding the real thing, and probably know more of what you really want in a partner. I had to date a lot of douche bags before I found the right guy :) and it makes me appreciate him so much more. Also, take the money you would have had to spend on him for christmas, and spoil yourself! I recommend dark chocolates filled with ice wine haha
