tanning salons

i currently go to tan de soliel downtown. while theirs is a nice studio, i am looking for a change.

east van, up to cambie and downtown are fine.

suggestions?

Yeah, but at the same time... makes you feel warm, leaves an impression and keeps it quick and simple. No clinging. No strings attached.

my salon has been lying to me. they charge people downtown more than the people in the burbs. kinda shady if you ask me. :(

I go to SunScape in Port Coquitlam and Ive never been happier. They have great beds and excellent staff.

Ive been in their highpressure tanning bed four times and I already have a base tan. To get a tan for me is usually hard. Now I only have to go once every two weeks to keep it. Unlike every other day at other salons.

Hopefully its the same in Yaletown.

yeah but their rates are pretty much on par with every other studio around downtown that i've found..and they are one of the only places where your minutes never expire.

urban tan on davie and richards.
a little more expensive then tan de soleil but i prefer their beds much better. they have an open sun which is amazing because it actually has air conditioning in the bed rather than just circulating the air. which is STILL better than lying in a pool of your own sweat in the t.d.s beds.
it is so clean and ive never had to wait for a bed.
plus in the first am of opening... you only use half your points.

alot do.
but if you pay attention to the beds you use... and in my salons case..the time you tan... it works out the almost same.

you also pay for the quality of the beds. the better the bed..the less you have to tan for...the less points/minutes you use.

I like the tanning salons in Kits. They are usually OK priced and the beds are usually good. I just use the one now that is attached to Kits Fitness because it's my gym and I get a discount :D

^^ It's not in the gym silly. It's downstairs from the gym in a different building. I wouldn't touch a gym tanning bed. Come to think of it I don't ever use beds. Just stand ups.

Avana, find one where the price is right for you and I'll go check it out before you start tanning there. It's funny, there are so many "nice" salons around - until you ask them how often they change their bulbs, or ask them to show you an example of how they clean their beds *gag*.

Too bad you don't wanna tan in Richmond, my salon kicks fucking ass. If anyone is looking for a salon in Richmond, you won't find better than Escape Tanning. Wicked. Also, IMO the lower mainland's BEST BY FAR salon is Sun Lounge in North Burnaby!

That's where I go . And I love it! I actually have a tan. I have never been able to tan my legs and after only a few sessions, I actually have tanned legs. They are all super friendly and it's really clean. :) I suggest going there. :)
