you get as much as you want to get out of a novel i believe. but yes, reading it again helps. i'm glad to see that you wait awhile in between re-reads. you need to let it like crystalize in your mind before you read it again. if it's too fresh it doesn't work.

Well, finished off all of the Wheel of Time (or at least what is currently written of it) so I started reading an amazing Trilogy by Elizibeth Haydon
On book 3 - Destiny Book 1 is called Rhapsody, book 2 Prophecy - I highly recommend these books to any fantasy readers out there. Book 1, when I first got it, was one of those books that I picked up, having never heard of the author, and literally did not put it down until I had read it cover to cover. VERY impressive author. |

Could be interesting to see what develops from this one though... a few new things did happen... I rarely read women authors, but Elizibeth Haydon is one of the 5 that have really impressed me right from the first book I picked up... She is one of the 2 non-british female authors I really enjoy. |

Fucking Wheel of Time. Robert Jordan is such a hack. It sure isnt hard to write a fuckton of books when you blatantly steal material from other authors.
Then again, I only read up to book 3 before I couldnt take it anymore. He might, just maybe, have gotten better. My H.P. Lovecraft collection is staring at me again... RATS IN THE WALLS! |

I got bored the other night, and dragged my ancient copies of the Lord of the Rings out of my bookshelf...
Man, been freaking forever since I have read them... last time was before the first of the movie came out... I think I need new copies though... mine were printed about 31 years ago (which is ancient for books, not a crack on anyones age) and kinda falling apart... |

My biggest problem with finding books these days is that most of the authors I love are Brit fantasy writers, and are really difficult to find on the Island. Not sure how readily availible they are in Van, but I don't think they are easy to find even there...
