It takes place in Siberia around 1905-1912 (ish) during the Russian Revolution during the downfall of imperialism in the country.
Started the book on the weekend and I'm about 200 pages in. So far so good.

At work I'm plunging through, for the second time, Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. It's something techy and fun to while away hours spent in Available.

i am now also reading: "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom.

i found out i can't function if i don't have a book that isn't to do with school to read.

i'm rereading the wheel of Time by robert jordan and am on the first book.

i read that book last year in one day, it was so good. i just finished the 'tuesdays with morrie' one...i liked it, but i thought it came off preachy at certain parts. i understand it's hard to write a story with a message like that and not sound preachy, but it still bothered me. i found that Morrie sometimes had this "if only everyone thought and acted like me, the whole world would be a better place" kinda attitude, which i find a bit ignorant. however, i may just be a cynical bastard.

i am now reading "The last of the crazy people" by Timothy Findley.

when I was younger my mom collected every Calvin & Hobbs book there was in the series. im currently about 3/4 the way through them all.
