for the record i loved loved loved oryx & crake. i've read it three times in the last three weeks, LOVED it.

i also have recently read hey nostradamus by douglas coupland, and it was also very good. in the first pages there's a passage about feeling a sense of wonder about the world, that's lost after childhood, that i found incredibly poignant.

i'm now rereading microserfs by coupland, and am trying to finish midnight's children (rushdie) and STILL the master and margarita.

That's something I like about his books, never a dull moment. Someones either killing, going somewhere, being ass mauled, or love hole plundering.

that's funny, i have that same book on my shelf waiting to be read. i'm not a huge fantasy fan, but my friend told me that i would like this series because it's about evil elves who murder people for fun.
