"The Memory Keepers Daughter" by Kim Edwards

Its a little slow so far..but I think its going to be good..

Its about a man (a doctor) who ends up having to deliver his twins when his wife goes into labour..The first child (a boy) is perfect..but the second (a girl)has noticable signs of downs syndrome. He makes a split second decision, and sends the girl away with his nurse to an institution and tells his wife the daughter was a still born. The nurse decides to run away with the child and raise it as her own.

=D

i haven't seen cell anywhere, i've been wanting to pick it up for awhile now (i'm not the type to hunt down an sk book, i'm sure i'll find it eventually). the covers that i don't like are for his older books that are in paperback. you know where it's only two colours and it says the name on the front. then on the back you can't read about the book, you only see sk...as though that should be enough to buy it.

okay seriously there is a team of people that chooses a cover that fits with the book...so shouldn't we be able to judge just a little?
