However, there is no point in posting quotes from the Bible. This is not an argument over what is morally right. It is an argument about law. You have to justify why it is exactly that homosexual marriages are infringing on your rights in order to give a proper argument against it being legal. I'm not going to argue with anyone about it's morality... that is a matter of opinion. If you think that it is wrong, that is your choice... don't have a homosexual marriage, end of story. Why exactly do you believe that others should conform to your will?

gay marriage is in the same catagorey as youthanasia and abortion, there is no right or wrong answear, its completely up to the individual, some people think its ok some dont that will never change there is no point in arguing over subjects like this, and alot of you need to stop being hypocritical, seems like people who are for gay marriages think that they are right no questions ask well your not but neither are the people who are against it everyones opinion even though pointless matters equally, i personally am not against them nor am i for them, i dont care what 2 gay people do with there lives its none of my buisness so i dont concern myself with the issue, and i personally think the world would be a much better place if people stopped worrying about what everyone else is doing and minded there own buisness, worry about ur own lives and ur own issues. basically unless ur gay or a religious figure who has to do the marrying you should stay out of it cause you have nothing to do with it.just my 2cents though.

^ Ehm...I don't think it's really fair to generalize all organized religion, or even all Christians because some don't happen to agree with gay marriage.

It is just as ignorant to write them all off as it would be for homosexuals. Remember, the truly ignorant are almost always in the minority- but just happen to have the loudest voices.

Remember, respect is a completely universal thing. While I'm not religious myself and don't agree with the fanatics, I think it is really unfair to write off all respect for organized religion based on the loud voices of few. Remember, Christianity isn't the only religion out there.

Yes, homosexuality in the animal kingdom is a common, widely documented and studied phenomenon.

It is not clear whether the behaviour is genetic or based on evironmental factors, however. It seems to me that those who assume that people can only be born homosexual may be touting the politically correct viewpoint rather than actually studying the issue. The flipside of this is the religious right, which assumes that homosexuality is only caused by environmental factors (and that people can be "cured" ); again this is too black and white. More likely it is brought about by a combination of the two factors.

Um. Well, actually, homosexuality happens often in the natural world. It's just not that prominent to us because, get this, THEY DON'T REPRODUCE when they do that.

If you want to go all bullshit on the nature tip though, there are many animals out there that are also hermaphrodidic. As well as a lot of asexual living organisms out there that.

But you don't see us doing that. And do you know why?
