Does God regard homosexuality as being wrong?
God created us as sexual beings, perfectly tailoring male and female for sexual union in marriage (Genesis 2:18,21-24). He designed sex to be a wonderful way for people to experience pleasure, intimacy and share in the creation of life. Homosexuality takes the glory of God’s specific sexual design and purpose and perverts it to something that was not intended (Romans 1:22-24). God did not make man to be a sexual partner with another man. Woman, likewise, was not made for woman. God designed woman for man and is described as man’s "glory" in the Bible (Genesis 2:18). God gives specific guidance on sexual conduct in many places in the Bible. In general, when sex is performed outside of a heterosexual marriage it is sin (i.e. rebellion against God). Gay sex is just one of many possible deviations (sexual perversions) from God’s plan for human sexuality. So that there would be no confusion, God specifically addressed homosexuality in several places in the scriptures. In every case homosexual acts are identified as sin. Consider these examples: Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable. Leviticus 18:22 NIV (see also Leviticus 20:13) We know these laws are good when they are used as God intended. But they were not made for people who do what is right. They are for people who are disobedient and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who murder their father or mother or other people. These laws are for people who are sexually immoral, for homosexuals and slave traders, for liars and oath breakers, and for those who do anything else that contradicts the right teaching that comes from the glorious Good News entrusted to me by our blessed God 1 Timothy 1:8-11 NLT Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting Romans 1:24-28 NKJV

Not to mention it was written generations after jesus died, so its a subjective interpretation of events that happened before those who wrote it were even born.
Regardless if you take the bible word for word or not, thats your business. If you think homosexuality is wrong, good for you. But that gives you no right to decide that what YOU believe should be taken as the only truth and therefore restrict the rights of those who do not believe the same as you. this thread is almost as stupid as the do u think gay ppl should be married and yes i replied to the other one i know but still WHO THE FCK CARES WHAT THEY DO its up to them its their life and who the fuck do u think u are sebastian for judging them dont preach not everyone is going to think the same and i think its time to drop this subject cuz its so controversial plus thers alot of bisexual and gay people on the bored when you started this thread did u ever take into account how they might feel why cant we all agree to disagree and move on this could go on forever

but the fact that has been posted about gay ppl being wrong sucks cuz im hella confused about weather i want to or not and alot of my friends are bi and to see the way some ppl veiw the gay community sucks like what if i didnt like u cuz u were blonde hair blue eyes i mean that sucks

Yeah i totally agree, but why hide your ignorance! There were alot more people who voted that gay marriages shouldnt be illegal than him, he was just only one who tried to justify it. We all know that there are people with that view out there, and the only way that things are going to change is if people have logical conversations about it and *hopefully* think about what other people have to say.

So what?
The bible was written by men who today would have been considered right wing religious fundamentalists. There's a few things written in the bible that tell us that women are "unclean" during their periods and that touching them during that time would make you unclean as well. Are we supposed to adhere to that? You were given a brain for a reason, idiot. Use it. Take everything you read and hear with a grain of salt.
