I just think that Christians are misled. I don't think that if you have a question or feel like you did something wrong pastors should replace God as your mentors. And Jesus should just be looked at like a great Jew, just like he was, not a messiah that needs to be praised as a ticket to heaven. I was born Christian, but let me tell you, I have found a much more open minded approach to spirituality in Judaism. I think I'm also going to convert to Budhism, and follow both without going to hell, because there's no such thing;P

Well just because you're shopping around for spiritual enlightenment, you ought not to knock others faith. It's okay not to agree, but to make bold statements that someone's faith is mislead is very wrong. If it didn't work for you, who are you to judge? My main point should be taken as this....Christianity to me is nothing more than Judaism where there has been a new focus on Jesus to attract the attention of as many converts as possible. They couldn't take the name reformed Judaism, the name perhaps was too old so it wouldn't attact new people who hadn't heard of it. Jewish people weren't going to give up on mitsvah and their rights to be private in their misdeeds or their aquired beliefs about some guy named Jesus.
Their new religion had to have some huge changes to attract people, so just like reformed Judaism is today, that is what Christianity was back then, gone overboard with craziness.

So about the pastors, educated in the Faith of Jesus Christ...why should they tell you how to live and make decisions if you're a smart intelligent being as well? Why should you be told that there is a bad place for bad people? What because a person isn't intelligent enough to have a natural desire to want to be good, they have to be scared into being good and rewarded by heaven?

sorry Godessa, but I'm talking about the formation of our beloved Christianity. I'm a Protestant. I've just recently learned about how our religion came to be. The initial religion was based on Faith in Jesus Christ. Paul made up all of those stories about Jesus and what he said. That's the difference between Jews and Christians and if you don't think that Faith in Jesus Christ is your religions number one difference, then your probably Jewish and don't even know it, and if you think that you don;t like the rules that Jews go by, then you're just a lazy Jew...that's what happened to me, I realized I had been hearing STORIES all my life about a religion that at one time was real. The Paul came and made it a friggin' story book out of it.

I don't where the star of David and in fact it has nothing to do with the religion...you don't pray to a propagated symbol..you pray to the world in Judaism. The star of David is a symbol of Israel, it's an amazing place where life from thousands of years ago can still be seen. It's awesome, and yeah, I would wear the star, it's a pretty sweet symbol artistically speaking.

Rocking the Star of David has kind of caught on to that gimmic effect the cross had for christianity. I guess yeah, there is something about having a symbol that is great for marketing and in this day and age it's gonna happen.
