Pope's coffin had SKULL & BONES on it!!1one

Quote:
Day 2

After its enbalming, the pope’s body is placed for public viewing in St. Peter’s Basilica. The Vatican plans a Mass at 10:30 a.m today (Rome time) for Pope John Paul II. The gold papal Ring of the Fisherman shows St. Peter — the first pope — fishing in a boat. The College of Cardinals begins its daily meetings to govern the church until a new pope is elected. They will decide funeral details, destroy the papal ring and plan for the election.

Day 3

Elm signifies dignity. The middle lead coffin is engraved with a skull and crossbones. Innermost cypress coffin signifies pope’s humanity.

Quote:
After the public viewing, the casket of John Paul I was laid in two other coffins. The first is a lead liner that weighed more than 880 pounds that also includes important papers signed by the pope under the papal seal. The second extra coffin is a massive elm casket, the wood signifying the importance of the person being buried.

The lead and oak caskets were embossed with inscriptions giving the dates of John Paul's life and reign, as well as a cross with a skull and crossbones at its foot, and John Paul's personal coat of arms, a shield with mountains and the winged lion of Venice's St. Mark's Cathedral. The word "humilitas" also was inscribed on the two outer coffins.

Pope calls for a new world order

Quote:
This year, John Paul directed his thoughts to continuing conflicts around the globe. But he stressed that to bring about peace, there needs to be a new respect for international law and the creation of a "new international order" based on the goals of the United Nations.
You can't deny it

Skull and Bones Secret Society

Quote:
SKULL and Bones is the oldest of Yale's secret societies and by far the most determinedly secretive. As such, it has long been an inspiration for speculation and imagination. It still is. The society is, of course, the inspiration for the new Universal Pictures thriller The Skulls, about a nefarious secret society at an Ivy League school in New Haven. In 1968, when George W. Bush was in Skull and Bones, there were eight "abovegrounds," or societies that met in their own "tombs," and as many as ten "undergrounds," which held meetings in rented rooms. In an article in the 1968 Yale yearbook Lanny Davis, a 1967 Yale graduate and a secret-society member who would go on to become a White House special counsel in the Clinton Administration, described how Bones, famous for its distinguished list of members, held more sway than the others.

"a new respect for international law and the creation of a "new international order" based on the goals of the United Nations."

Where does it say "One World Government" in there? It says a repect for internatinal law, yes, and a new international order, which i presume would stem from a respect those laws and the basic principles of the UN (humanitarian intervention, human security, democracy, ect). Sounds pretty good to me.

The whole concept of NWO is pretty rediculous anyway - we already live under a 'world order' goverened by the principles of transnational capital. No serious political or international relations theorist believes that we are anywhere near, or moving towards some kind of a world state. If anything the trend is towards increased weakening of state powers by MNCs, and a growing patchwork of unconnected regulatory regimes, each of which is dedicated to a particular area (international law, regional security regimes, an environmental regime, ect) none of these are under the control of one actor, and none of them have much authority even in their own area, nevermind over other areas. If we ever end up in a global 'cosomopolitan democracy' it will probably follow those lines - with different regulatory mechanisms designed to deal with specific international sectors (eg, the environment) which interact with local governments.

not only was he a pirate and a part of the skull and bones secret society, but he was gay and ate babies as well.

it's true, i heard it from a friend of a friend who read too much into an obscure and general comment that the pope made ten years ago.

Since this is the nature of the New World Order, we have to use higher level thinking (i.e. there won't be a campaign mounted by the government to get their secret plan across, and thus it's only the 'alternative' media that covers it).

In that case, we have to capitalize on every little slip up and indication. Of course there are a few smoking guns here and there (Northwoods leaked document).

Try to listen to the soundbyte before calling it generic.

It's starting up again, listen :)

I totally believe you! In hindsight, the Pope had "pirate" written all over him. Constantly travelling the world, flashy headgear, that parrot constantly perched on his shoulder... it's so obvious I can't believe you're the first to think of it!

Nice work Wum.

but thats no fun :S
besides, he was a huge figure to everyone, not just the catholics. of course something as huge as his death is going to have controversy/parody around it. ESPECIALLY on an internet forum.
I mean come on. forums are breeding ground for parody and general ripping on ppl
