If by the word "civilized" you mean more capable at killing hundreds of people, then yes I agree... or how about knowing how to destroy nature, introduce mass illness or other things of a civilized country... The natives, I think, had the right idea from the very beginning... living WITH nature, not conquering it. Sharing the land, not oppressing others for advancment...

the natives did have the right idea, but it obviousley wasnt the one that lasted...if we could all be tree huggers and simply evolve then the world would be a better place..but people deal with life as it comes...im not defending all the big oil refineries..or clearcutting..im just saying that the natives did lose, anf life happened, we cant change it just evolve with it

I was referring to the theory that "other continents" did not advance as fast because of geography. Places like Africa and N/S.America span along the lines of latitude with varying climates. Places like Europe obviously spans across longitude. This allowed for ideas, customs and practices to be spread more efficiently. For example, the italian merchant states of the Renaissance. Italy benefited, in part, by trade routes passing from East to West. N. America was filled with vast resources that could have let it surpass the other side of the world but they lacked the collective community that was afforded to other continents. Simply geography. Your assertion that the Europeans were more civilized and intelligent is simply racist rhetoric fit for a surrey skinhead pamphlet.
