yeah, putting an 'ignore' feature in the hands of a system that's really not a good indication of one's worth is a bad idea. too much shit that could happen because of it. a better idea would be to just have an 'ignore' feature that people could activate manually. that way it'd be opt-in, instead of having people conspire to get certain posters below the karma limit for being seen.

this was one of the main shortcomings of the previous karma format. people were flaming people anonymously, and the whole board got progessively untrusting as time went on.
