so he doesn't understand why the muslim community is outraged due to the fact that he ended up publishing the cartoon with the bomb on the prophet mohammed's head, let alone a sketch of the prophet himself. Any rendition of a sketch or image depicting mohammed is strictly banned in islam. To put the icing on the cake a bomb is involved in the picture as well. What point is being made here? I can understand why the muslims were outraged.

Maybe this guy needs to really look at the religions out there and figure it out for himself. According to the bible... since I am a "Non" believer.. when the supposive "second coming of christ" (lol) happens then I will be judged and be sent to hell. HOLY HATER BATMAN!!!!

lol He really sensationalizes the use of the term Orwellian. Gimme a break. He might get a fine, oh noes, at least he hasn't lost habeas corpus. By spewing this clash of civilization discourse he is just as ideological as fundamentalists. If he wanted to promote free speech in his publication he would have ran editorials but respected cultural differences by not running the photos. By running them after the backlash broke out he is using them as a political tool to cause sensationalism.

This guy wants to tell us that there's such a thing as objective free speech? ha. Articles get dropped all the time. There's better ways to fight for free speech then inflaming an already tense situation. He has a right to his opinion but the act of publishing the photos is what transforms the situation and distorts his free speech message.

It's the same as journalists publishing videos and pictures of people dying and other stuff. Who's being exploited here?
