K', seriously. This whole 'electro house' thing is getting played out. It seems the sounds used these days are just fuzzy speed garage noises, and about as tuneless to boot. The DJ tricks in songs are kind of cool but please, please, PLEASE learn to make your transistions between tracks flow. Last song's ace!


Nabs:
Trance and euro dance trying to pass itself off as trance. Nothing new here that we haven't heard repeatedly from trance DJs since '99, with all the momentum-killing overlong breakdowns, perfunctory outro/intro beatmatched mixing, and useless vocals that you can handle. If you still haven't gotten tired of this sound, wait for one of the trance stages to play it at Apex. I'm sure there will be plenty of it going around.


Shitshow Hair Band-its:
They don't need no demo. Just tune into MuchMoreMusic's Retro Loud for a sample of what you'll hear. Personally, I think Hair Metal's utterly retarded but then so does everyone else. That's why it's so much fun to mock up!

We have LJF with a mullet and a pedi-stache.... is there anything more funny than that? I personally guarantee some guys some glam too.... hair metallers wore make-up and so will we dammit!

Either way... I've said my piece time and again. We really truly did not want to start any sort of controversy. I apologize that it's turned into such a big deal. What started out as a fun idea/concept has turned into this big argument that nobody wanted. I still think it could be fun but at what price?

oh like i said: it sounds funny, but whether it actually is funny is a completely different story.

Which is why I think you should get together with lenny and you 80s gogo dancers, work out some coreography and videotape it to a banging soundtrack for us to see. Maybe a rendition of some Def Leppord tune or a Queen piece or maybe even an abstract, interpretive dance piece to some old Metallica (back when they were good, of course).

It's one thing to sit around a couch with friends drinking beers and saying "wouldn't it be funny if we do this" and it's another to prove that you're actually serious about blowing us all away with your shenanigens and putting some real work into the show if you win.

And I can think of nothing better than a video preview.
