It can work, but you have to be mature about it, as others have said. I knwo there is one friend of mine that we haven't crossed the line. His mom wants us to be together and everything, but it just never seems right. He's been my best friend for years. Also, I can spot a person who is destined for success. She tends to give up what could ruin her peace of mind, and keep what can strengthen her.

Maybe me believing in the dream will rub off on her.

Thats what my best friend told me when i told her how i felt, well not the exact thing just the fact that since we were such good friends she thought it would just be so weird if we were to take it to the next level, and i respected her for being honest.

sweet! you've given me hope... i'm in the exact same situation right now. my thinking is that we're best freinds... and what could be better than having a relationship thats based on freindship?!
i've been all over the map on this for weeks now. i agree with jon though where i believe that if its meant to happen it'll happen.
