Not really defaming them on air since no names or schools are mentioned as far as I know. Sort of like when people call in and say "That driver in the red civic on west 4th is an idiot and I hate them".

You are taking a six year old saying on air "my teacher is a stupid head" a little to seriously.

Kids are annoying, we all were growing up. And we all had teachers we hated growing up. The quest for political correctness is just going to end up with kids not being able to be kids.

See, that practice was common when I was a kid. That's not what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about is the practice for teachers to be veto'd by the school after parents complain to the administration because their kid is going to be held back a year. They kick up enough fuss, administration doesn't stand behind the teacher, teacher gets veto'd and reprimanded, not to mention their reputation tainted, and they stop failing kids out of fear of having to go through such a debacle again (or in some cases, having witnessed such a debacle and not wishing for themselves to go through it). As such kids are passing grades despite not having shown the competence to do so.

Anyways. I'm still failing to see how any of this has to do with Avana's sociopathy.

I mean, she's a sociopath but not for the reasons Ragga listed.

i think it compromises the integrity of the profession. teachers get shit on daily by students. having kids call in and insult their teacher, no matter how minor or juvenile takes away from the respect they should be getting.

My brother actually was just hired by the Surrey school district as a teacher.

And I totally agree with you, people shouldn't be shit on people for their jobs. Police officers shouldn't get blamed for enforcing the laws, tow truck drivers shouldn't have people getting angry at them.

When society stops getting mad at them, or anyone for that matter for doing their job we'll all be better people.

But I'm still not going to expect a five year old to not refer to a teacher they don't like as "poopy pants". Nor am I going to look to a top 40 station morning show to lead this charge towards social justice.

And if you still have a problem with it, take a listen to Larry and Willy on Jack, a friend of mine is their producer and it's a great morning show.
