When they did the change over pretty much the entire staff stayed the same.

So while it was a change it was the same people running it. Now it'll be another change. Stuff like this happens a lot when a station gets decimated in the ratings on a constant basis.

Ahhh. I was under the impression that the entire staff changed when they changed to Crave. I hope it gets better. They are absolutly terrible right now.

"Reads into your posts?" Hardly, I've pointed out that you commented on the on air aspect by directly posting using the terms "sexist" and "shock jock". No matter how much you deny it you posted it, you said it. Admit it, or back it up.

And the industry is dying? Really? I didn't realize that increased profits and listener ship meant that the industry was dying? Dozens of applications were put in for the new FM station license. Why would people hitch their finances to a dying media?

This "radio is dying" thing has been around for a long time. When cassettes were introduced, the CD's, then internet radio, then satellite radio... Has it happened? No, will it happen? Maybe one day in the distant future.

Radio stations might not please you, but part time workers at Tom Lee are who listen to electronic music are hardly a customer stations are concerned about.

Didn't you claim at one point to be a writer? Seriously, you should be able to argue you point a bit better if that's the case.

Good point, generally in an "argument" both sides can present an idea, and then defend it.

(A) I know you are but what am I?

I would really like to hear you explanation behind denying that you said anything about the on air aspect when I have quoted you as commenting on it.

Or how you can decree that Radio is dying without any background info or connection to the music industry/radio industry.

My issue is that you are forming an opinion about something you have never heard or listened to:

"He's a sexist moron too dumb to be anything but a shock jock. People like Kid Carson are why I refuse to listen to the radio."

If you had listened to him, fine and dandy. Change the station and move on. But you haven't heard him ever. Yet you say he's sexist and a shock jock in the same paragraph you admit you've never listened to him ever.

That is the worst analogy I've ever heard.

I suggest investing in one of those new fangled CD players or iPods. Then buy whatever you want (sites like pitchfork and popmatters are full of suggestions, or ask your friends). Even if it's Beyonce or Black Eyed Peas, at least you wouldn't have to wait until Carson's playlist got around to schilling you something around all the ads and inane chatter.
