Right.. so angry customers with unreasonable expectations ONLY go to mcdicks? No. They go everywhere. Anyone who's had a shit customer service type job (mcdicks, any other fast food, restaurants, retail, amusement parks, movie theatres, etc.) has had shit customers. Mcdicks doesn't get these special stupid customers that don't appear anywhere else.

Everybody gets stupid customers, it's just something you have to deal with when you work in the customer service industry.
And really, it's not that hard to say "I'm sorry you're having such a problem, but why not talk to manager, (insert name here) instead." Or something along those lines.

And if it's really so bad you can't handle dealing with customers (which isn't that hard, annoying, yes, but not hard) then get a different job where you at least don't have to deal with them face to face. Like telemarketing for example. If you get a shitty person, most will hang up, or if not, you can hang up. And they can't sit there and yell and bitch you out, and you don't even have to see their face. Once they are gone, they're gone.

I've never worked at McDicks but I know for a fact I've done jobs that would make a McDicks employee beg to go back and make Mcflury's. Try working at an auction house. All you do is load and unload heavy stuff into a truck all day. Back breaking manual labour for $10 an hour with no benifits.

In some ways I can agree with you, Nolan.

I've been working in various jobs steadily since I was 15. However, I've also managed to steer clear of the food service industry by choice. Others also have the choice. If you really want a job somewhere and you can really sell yourself (obviously there are certain places you just can't work until you get the experience; but you can avoid working a mcjob.) then you can steer clear of it too..

HOWEVER
It should also be noted that a job is a job. It's better than not working and bitching about having no money or leeching off of any forms of financial assistance for longer than you have to because you are just plain lazy and unmotivated.

Cry my a river, there's no way a box of burgers can way more than a piano! I also doubt that you ever worked 10-14 hour days without overtime. Not saying that I worked at the hardest jobs or anything I just think I've worked jobs that were a lot harder than McDicks.

What I'm getting at though is that rather than being a little bitch about having to work hard I was glad that people chose to give me a chance to gain experience in the work place when I was starting out. Realize that there are plenty of unskilled people out there who can do the same job as people like you without feeling so bloody sorry for themselves.
