There's good architecture kicking around, the overpowering presence of concrete monoliths from the boom in the 70s and 80s still dominate the city tho...
I went out and shot a pile more tonight. Unfortunately my battery packed it in after on 9 sets of shots. The whole walk home was filled with nothing but perfect lighting or settings and I couldn't should a GOD DAMNED THING. Christ was I pissed... What I did shoot came out decently althoguh I dont' have time to process them all tonight I quickly ran a couple through the HDR software to give you guys a preview for what's coming up when I finish tuning up this set of shots: *PICTURE HAS BEEN MOVED, CHECK FARTHER IN THE THREAD* Last edited by thebobman; Sep 15, 07 at 10:55 PM. |

I'm amateur through and through! The camera I'm using can be had on ebay for under $200. I've never taken an art course (I even subbed drafting in grade 10 for my required art credit!). I'd love to work professionally as an artist, but I already tried my hand at working as a graphic & digital designer and found it jaded my creativity awfully quickly.
For now I still do the occasional bit of pro bono work and I publish everything I do with a creative commons license so people can use it so long as its credited. Thanks again for all the positive feedback guys! As long as you keep enjoyin' 'em, I'll keep postin' 'em! |

Acutally, looking more at that picture they probably just used a slightly longer shutter speed, otherwise the arm would be very blurry

I went out again last night / early this morning. I'm still processing through the glut of photos. I'll post more later today, but here's a taste for now.
This is the stair well at the downtown BCIT Campus on Seymour. There was a drunk English guy that was fascinated with the fact I was shooting photography on the streets at night, he kept taking photos of me, taking photos of the stair well. I suppose it could be considered creepy, but well, he was hammered. He's gonna have an interesting morning pouring through those random 20 shots of some guy on the streets of Vancouver |

As promised, here are best 5 shots from my evening out last night.
Looking west down Georgia @ Richards Honestly can't remember the other street, but this is also on Richards Alley to the east of Seymour, looking south The main drag itself; Granville Street Honestly can't remember the cross streets again, its a few blocks past Granville on Smithe I think |
