Travel care package...

I'm trying to put together a mini care package for my best friend (next after Nev!) who is going back to Africa for another year to teach diving.

I'm sure she missed alot of things last time she was over there and I want her to have some treats from home.

Travellers...ideas?

maple syrup...the real good stuff.

kraft dinner, ketchup chips, maple syrup, back bacon.

cd's are always good with songs with good memories from home
maybe make her a creative journal with some pics from home or
get her a little photo album with a few home pics to start it off with
a good book
her favorite makeup/lotion/bathing stuff etc.

Keep in mind most food items will not be allowed to travel across borders.

pre-packaged food stuffs have never been an issue crossing borders.

any sort of agricultural stuff they'll have issues with, ie. fruits and veggies.

little pillow (you can find those ones that the blanket folds into that are perfect for travel/long airplane rides)
you should find great pic of the two of you and get a copy made up

i like the idea of making her some cds too

I sent my best girlfriend Jaime that's living in Japan a make your own sock monkey kit (complete with sock) --that's might be kinda weird for her but Jaime thought it was awesome and it gave her something to craft on during her downtime
