Good-bye Bertuzzi
you are a fuckin idiot
why he felt the need to get the revenge for Nassy is beyond me. he is our big multi-million dollar man. It is not his job to do that! why do you think we carry guys like brookbank? Moore has a broken neck the league is going to make an example out of Tuzzi. We probably wont see him till next year Hey Burke dont worry about trades we have a great group of guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just fuckin give up Fedorov already!!!! i never thought i would say this but May was the only player i was proud of last night. We have no pride. Each and every member of the Vancouver Canucks should give there head a shake The Avs just straight up out played us. Instead of playin harder and building for the next game. We cried and got dirty. I am embarrassed to be a fan today. |

I can't seem to find any links to confirm this broken neck thing.... from watching the replay over and over it doesn't really appear that he could have. Then again the neck is definitely fragile so it very well could have I suppose.
I think bottom line is that Bert definitely went out to settle the score but never intended to hurt Moore as much as he did. The fact that the hit was extremely hard and from behind is completley inexcusable and as much as I hate to say it he deserves whatever he's got coming. As a Canucks fan I'm ashamed at the teams actions overall. May summed it up nicely when he said 'There are 700 players in the NHL who like to play it hard and tough and everyone incites us to play that way including the media and fans.' I mean is this really unexpected? A questionable hit on Naslund goes unpunished and the NHL doesn't expect retribution? I mean add on to the fact that May is right in his statement. People were screaming for blood and wanted to see all those fights materialize. Only when you realize that someones life suddenly hangs in the balance over a stupid hockey game do people realize what they are actually supporting. That being said I'm guilty of it too... I wanted to see a bit of payback. The thing is that I wanted to see some old fashioned rough hockey where at the end of the game everyone goes home and talks about it. Moore never made it home, he made it to the hospital where he now apparently lies semi-paralyzed with a broken neck. Gary Bettman will be 100% unforgiving on Bertuzzi and his gutless attack. For all the fans who support Bert I bet you also called for McSorley's head when he took out Brashear. That would make you a hypocrite. I think this definitely hurts our playoff run now but if the Canucks can pull their heads out of their asses it is still possible. Now with shame and some serious questioning of pride I offer my last words. I am still a diehard 'nucks fan so..... GO CANUCKS GO! Last edited by Cdn_Brdr; Mar 10, 04 at 02:03 AM. |

As for the Canucks chances. Me personally i would much rather see a team come out and play there hearts out and lose then the way our soft players have been playing lately. I am still Vancouver fan. But i am also a realist. At this point we stand no chance in the playoffs. Especially with the Avs pickin up Barnaby, Salo and Gratton. What a sad for the Canucks. but even if it wasnt a bad injury it was fucking stupid what he did. what the hell was the point of that? basically bertuzzi is done for the season for sure and part of the playoffs. |

I heard otherwise on the broken neck? I heard 9 stiches and a slight concussion maybe out for 1-2 weeks. As far as Bertuzzi's actions to some extent I understand it but on the other side as one of our top players he can not make these bad calls in judgement. He made another dreadful one the other night when while we were on the power play we had a chance to go up 5 on 3 but no Bert went after the guy and got a double minor putting them on the power play. My biggest concern however was when Nasland was out it wasn't Bertuzzi stepping up into a leadership role like he should but it was Mike Keane and Trevor Linden. As far as saying May was the only person to admire in last nights games isn't fair at all. Matt Cooke had a good spirited game and played the best I have seen him since his return. Trevor Linden, what can be said, what a great player who continues to play with the upmost passion but knows when to just WALK AWAY. Something the should be taught to Bert. On another issue I have a problem with the way the AV's are coached. When you use players like Worrel as weapons with the pure intention of roughing up or inujuring a player on the opposing team you can not start whining and complaining when teams take offence to it and come after you guys. This is not the first time this has happenend this season and other coaches have commented on there coaching style. When you have young players that will not say no to the coach because they want to play he can use and abuse them. With the way the game went last night it does not surprise me what ended up happening. I also would like to blame the ref's as well. If they kept up on all the cheap things that the AV's were doing behind the play and actually called them on it in the begining of the game the whole game would have taken a drastic turn for the better but they didn't they let the AV's do whatever they wanted in the begining and then penalized the Nuckers for anything and everything they did from that point on. With two ref's on the ice they should be catching this stuff. No doubt about it if you've followed this rivalry this season you know that the AV's may look clean on paper but ask any of the opposing teams and they'll tell you many players on that bench are some of the cheapest players in the league that never gets caught. I do not condone Bertuzzi's actions but I kind of expected someone to go after him hard just not Bert.

i watched the fucking sports stations for like 45 minutes to see the bloody hit.. everone is just blah blah blah about the trade deadline. It didnt even look that bad. one punch.. oh dear oh dear. Maybe Moore should learn how to take a punch and there may not have been an injury if half the team didn't doggy pile on top, thats how people got hurt in elementary school tackle football. I know one thing tho, if there is legal action, Burtuzzi can't be charged with assaul because legally the person has to be expecting the blow for it to be calssified as assault. I know one thing for sure tho, if the Nucks and Avs meet in the playoffs, I am definately buying tix for that cuz its gonna be the shit!
Moore = Pussy who got what he deserved. Bertuzzi = My kind of hockey player. Yes, I'm an asshole, I know it |

Just cause you got your face smashed into the ice doesnt mean your neck is broken
Broken nose at best. Moore got knocked out. He didnt break his neck. Be back on the ice in a few weeks. at work we played a joke on one of the testers saying that Cloutier got traded for kolzig. He went around to all the sku's saying "WE FUCKING GOT KOLZIG.. WE FUCKING GOT KOLZIG" Then when we told him it was a joke.. He didnt like us. |

we got scored on 4 times in a minute and a half. thats when things got ugly and there were 2 fights right b4 that. both teams played ugly. we can't put the blame on the avs or anyone else. if would of came out and played like we can there would of actually been a hockey game cuz colorado came to play. and yes cook and linden played well. they always do. they are our heart and soul. |
