Would you support opening the border to young Americans so we can escape Bush's hell?
I saw the front page of USA Today this morning and it pissed me off (well I've always been pissed at the feds) to see how the feds can now go after individual medical marijuana patients. There's other stuff like the war in Iraq that not all Americans want. It would be nice to just run North and get away from this shit.
So here's my question for you. How many of you would be in support of letting young Americans come to Canada and stay just to get the fuck away from George W. Bullshit and the War and start a new life. Canadian Immigration just tells us to get lost but are they just representing their own hateful opinions? I kind of forgot about Canada for a while but I still want to go. Anyone wanna kidnap me and put me in the back of your van when you drive back up j/k :D |

And forget about asking me how much $ I have. I'm sick of all these questions.
Homeland fucking Security! They claim to be protecting national security but sometimes in Seattle, the Feds seem to have nothing better to do but harass the homeless in a park. Homeland Insecurity: Fighting terrorism one hobo at a time. |

what are you using to define young americans? how young counts as young?
As much as I too would love to relocate to Canada, the process for such a move is becoming increasingly more difficult, thanks to the Canadian government. And well they should, make it hard, I suppose, with so many weirdo's out there, whose to say which american's are the right american's to let in? Probably those who are willing to put alot of work into getting into Canada. So I spose it makes sense. It would be nice to feel like it was actually an option though. |

I have no problem with defectors as long as they don't bring the American 'holier than thou, we can do no wrong because we are the only nation that matters in this world' attitude with them. Not fair to sterotype of course but after 2 yrs of heading south of the border twice a week I encountered a lot of it.
It has to make you wonder.... Canada is know for it's tolerance of other peoples and cultures. The only nation on our 'hate list' is the good old US of A. I guess that should really make the US wonder. Canada, fuck man they love everybody.... except us... well hell we must be HORRIBLE!!! In all fairness of course, I have met a lot of very nice American people who don't have that stereotypical attitude. :) |

Sure come on up here.
BTW is it hard to actually qualify to move here? I know it's hard to move to the USA (permanently), you would think it would be easy since we have similar education, culture etc but it's like the immigration people think we're from Mars. |

Q- How exactly is bush and his foreign policy affecting the basic human rights of americans?
Honestly, Bush IS a moron in many respects...HOWEVER, Americans don't have it that bad at all. Immigration backlogs are signifigant enough in this country for refugees claiming legitimate violations of their rights and freedoms to grant Americans that kind of leniancy. Everyone should be subject to the same processes. |

Our immigration policy has changed big time all thanks to the american government... They have pressured the canadian government to a point where immigration is deporting random people for no god damn reason. With all this 9/11 bullshit bush pulled the hookshot by saying "either your with us or not"... They obviously made some type of threat to our government because they can't live with the fact that Canada has such a wide range of different nationalities all over the country. Instead the american government likes to label individuals because of where they are originated from.
And with all the stink that the american government has triggered around the world I say that we close the doors. I mean its plain and simple... Its called voting and voicing your opinion. If there is such a concern the in the states then why not hold massive protests? Not running away to some other place. What the hell is Canada going to do for you? You think Canada is better off? Christ this country is the united states' bitch as far as I am concerned. |

You have to realize at least half of the people in the states disagree with what's being done. However, due to the fact that we have re elected this bastard, he is now free to run rampant on our systems and change things as he pleases. He doesn't even need to pretend to be doing things right, because he doesn't have to be worried about being elected again. And, since he spent the first 4 years on the Patriot Act and others like it, everything is now set up for him to easily run things the way he pleases. Quote:

Hey man, are you really from CANADIA? If a guy who lives a mere 2 short hours from us can't be bothered to know what my country is called I can only imagine what some redneck hick from the midwest might be like. Honestly, add that ignorance to the do-no-wrong patriotism of many Americans and you have a recipe for hate from any country. As I said, to be fair, you can't say that all Americans are like this. Unfortunately for all of the good Americans out there the stereotype of the bad American precedes you. |

I would turn you all away at the border why well WTF are you gonna do for my economy except take jobs away from locals we have enough of a problem as is. Also I would rather not see a bunch of pot smoking lazy assed motherfuckers jumpin the border to get away from the idiot they elected. You come here you get sick I gotta pay your fucking medical bills. You chose the cowboy you live with him for another 3 years..

That is the most fuckd response ever Bongman.
How can you say that when half the population DIDN'T elect him. Don't you think that the majority of people wanting to move to canada now would be AGAINST bush? If they were all about our gov. then why would they wanna leave? |

You as a population elected the dumbass live with it why should I spend my taxes on you just because you don't like your particular government. I don't like the federal liberals but you don't hear me bitching about wanting to move. So suck it up wait out the few years remember this is his last term and fucking deal with it.. |

Fuck that. I shouldn't be punished because there are alot of stupid people in my country. I worked on the Vote Run Lead campaign, which not only promotes women in politics but also worked very hard to get younger newer voters to register to vote before the past election. I spent hours of my time trying to get people to get out and vote, and it's due to the fact that many didn't that we have this man as our president now.
I DID NOTHING to elect him. I did all i could to STOP it from happening. So get off your horse and realize that YOU wouldn't be spending your taxes on ME because as a LEGAL citizen I too would pay taxes. Remember this is his last term? Fucking deal with it? Jesus man, I hope that when you feel like your country represents everything you are against, that they tell you FUCKING DEAL WITH IT. |
